Magnet mechanic
I was thinking about this when I saw the darkstar mode. Currently I take Mordekaiser E (Siphon of Destruction) into a rework to give a idea how this mechanic would work:
Mordekaiser magnetizes the target champion (can also be used on enemies) or himself for 6 seconds. While shielded all nearby champions (including enemies) grant movementspeed while walking towards the magnetized target within 1200 range. All targets will also be target with a magnetize debuff (mordekaiser is immune for this).
Magnetize debuff: While under forms of crowd control targets will be pulled towards the magnetized target. The strength of the pull depends on the form of cc:
- Slows: Targets will move towards the magnetized target based on their movementspeed after the slow is aplied. For example if you are slowed for 20% and you movementspeed is 360. You will be pulled with a power of 72 ms towards the magnetized target. So if you are walking into the other direction of the pull you will walk on a [288 - 72 = 216] base momentspeed alway from the pull. This value keeps updating every second for non static slows.
- Snairs/Stuns: Targets will glide towards the magnetized target based on their movementspeed
- Knockups: Based on the strength of the knockup targets will pulled harder towards the magnetized target.
- Other forms of cc will most likely work similar to one of the systems above. Similar to knockups it's hard to determ exact values for the strength of these pulls or that they even aply add all.
This could be a mechanic for a new champion but I felt it would suit mordekaiser a lot since it's actually feels pretty powerfull when you think about it. However morde itself doesn't have cc (I would give him a weak slow on his Q tho). It would be an ability that would make cc (mainly slows) a lot more powerfull but it's still an dubble edge sword since enemies can benefit from this as well. You are just the one that determs the magnetized area. Think about magnetize an enemy adc so everyone walks faster towards him. Or you magnetize one of your allies frontline tanks that dive into the enemy target aplying much stronger slows towards the enemy backline.
Overal this is a mechanic that could give an champion cc without actually giving him cc if you understand what I'm talking about. Mordekaiser is always been a champion that needs cc of his team in order to be effective. So why not reward this as well.
