The Apprentice Champion Concept Part 1

So I was thinking that one of the biggest things riot lacks in having pre-formed champions is a customizable player friendly champion. This idea was partially inspired by Harry Potter, I won't lie, but I liked it a lot. The idea is sort of basic, sort of complex. The customizable option starts in the selection of champion mode. If you have ever played super smash brother brawl there is a wizard character named Robin who allows you to choose between a boy and a girl in the same champion. So in your champion selection after choosing the champion and before the skin selection, you get to choose the gender, something a bit new for league. This would be a young champion just learning the basics of being a wizard, giving us a champion at an actual mage with the funny lookin hat and the weird shoes and not an off brand mage.

Whether gender selection is important or not doesn't define this champion, but I thought I'd pitch it. The biggest and main idea of the champion is his apprenticeship. You see in Harry Potter there are 4 houses that kids get sorted into. This champion is something similar, but instead of houses you choose 1 of 4 kits to work on. So you start off with a basic kit like Kayn has, but change later on depending on your preferences into specialised kits.

The 4 Kits are

  1. Battle mage, mostly focusing on fights and damage
  2. Potions mage, the healer, enhancer, sort of the healing mage.
  3. Control mage, draws diagrams on walls, trees, floor, and traps people in them, (sort of like a teemo bomb, but no damage) the cc mage
  4. The summoning mage, Basically can summon creatures, control dead champions, take over other champions, leaving their bodies fully. Sort of like if he is close to death and someone is dead near him, he can change bodies until he returns to base and heals.

These are just basic ideas for the kits, of course they will need a lot of work and numbers and stuff to make it work, but I tried to stay close to the harry potter 4 houses accordingly(see if you can guess which house is which lmao). That is just the gist of the idea. There is a lot of work to be put into it, but I wanted to see anyone would like a champion like this.

Really like this idea, especially the lore options behind this champion. [slayer-pantheon-thumbs]

Robin is in super smash bros 4 but when it comes to the design i think it may be too strong overall having too much options, having a lot of options makes things harder to balance(for example yasuo and riven, they have a lot of options and tools and that makes them annoying) i don't see this idea too much because of it.
