[Item] Basalt Blade
#Hi Boards,
Jack here with an item series for Supports - Basalt Blade.
It's three items, actually, but the other two build out of the first:

The first item is a neat little, cost efficient item for Supports to give their Marksmen more damage in a similar fashion to Leona's passive.
(Important to note and what I forgot to write in the images is that DoT spells, like Morgana's Soil and Amumu's Cry, do not apply the mark!)
Most Supports scale with Ability Power somehow and so they will like this, while Melee Supports like ** Leona** and Braum just love Health Regen, so it appeals to everybody really.
The price is low - 950, like Glacial Shroud - so Supports should be able to afford it while still in the laning Phase -> Get your starting item, then Sightstone, and then this, if you like.
Also, the building path is fairly easy:
Rejuvenation Bead + 770 Gold or Amplifying Tomb + 515, or both + 335.
Then, the item splits into 2 paths:
One is for everybody - Vulcanic Halberd - which builds out of Basalt Blade + Haunting Guise, as more Supports like Magic Penetration rather than Ability Power.
It follows the Basalt theme (the image is just a fill-in) with lava, and it could be a spear-like weapon with a flag on which you see a red mask, similar to Haunting Guise.
Other than that, it's a simple upgrade to Basalt Blade that enhances the damage your Marksman deals, with enhanced Stats which Supports like - AP, Health and HP5.
Champions like Vel' Koz and Nami and what-not could use this item.
The other path is Melee only, as it gives Tenacity.
It builds out of Basalt Blade + Seeker's Armguard + 690 Gold, and offers more defensive Stats with a more independent damage output.
I imagine a lot of Melee 'Mages' would love this, especially ones that can spam their spells, like Hecarim or Skarner.
It's build path, however, is fairly ... unpractical for everybody, really, except maybe Jungle Diana, she could cope :D
That's it.
I hope you like the items, and please try to ignore the numbers as much as possible, as they can always be changed.
Other than that, what do you think of them?
Would you buy them? Why? Why not?
Thanks for reading and leaving feedback (if you do)
**Jack **
P.s. : Please do not argument that Supports don't have enough room for variation in their builds. It's simply not true.
Edit: I changed the Basalt Blade pic and reduced the damage to 25 from 30.
Edit 2: I changed all 3 pictures to look a little nicer and adjusted the damage to the new Basalt Blade.
