Item concept - Void Orb

I think this would really be able to flesh out some builds in certain situations or in certain matchups. Some great examples would be if you need executioner's calling but don't need armor penetration, if you want the quicksilver sash cleanse but you aren't an ad champion, or simply for champions like Tryndamere who like to rush tiamat but may not find the upgrades to be worth it. The cost would be up for debate but I would suggest 1000 to be pretty fair.

Void Orb

Unique active- consume - Absorb any 2 advanced items gaining their unique passives, actives, and base stats.

Unique passive - This item has 50% increased base stats (except cooldown reduction). Only one can be purchased per game.

It is used by using the active of the item and then clicking on the item that you want to consume. Item actives are not added to it until 2 items have been consumed.

Here are some examples:

item 3140 item 3123

+45 magic resist +23 attack damage

UNIQUE – QUICKSILVER: Removes all crowd control debuffs from your champion (90 second cooldown).

UNIQUE – EXECUTIONER: Physical damage inflicts Grievous Wounds on enemy champions for 3 seconds.

item 3028 item 3024

+45 magic resist +30 armor +75% base mana regeneration +300 mana +10% cooldown reduction

UNIQUE – HARMONY: Gain +25% base health regeneration for every additional 25% base mana regeneration.

item 3916 item 3136

+600 health +90 ability power

UNIQUE – MADNESS: Damaging an enemy champion generates one stack every second for the next 4 seconds. Deal 2% increased damage for each stack, up to a maximum of 10%.

UNIQUE – TOUCH OF DEATH: +15 magic penetration.

This is actually really cool. I think you should only be able to have one though per game so you are not combining a bunch of effects. The amount of diversity this item could have is insane. I think the combine stats need to be lowered. but that's details. The concept is amazing.

So you gain the actives, so what if you combined Tiamat and QSS, that means every time you activate it Tiamat and QSS activates, also you can get a LOT more items if you bought this, like if you have 6 slots, 5 of these items would make 10 items in each + 1 more.

Does this only work for Advanced items or would merging completed items be a thing as well?

Combine Rylais and Liandry for Mordekaiser wetdream.

or combine Liandry and Voidstaff for tank melting

Interesting, but this could very easily get out of hand. While I don't think this could work in-game, this is a pretty interesting concept, and as a thought experiment and "what if," this seems super fun.

  • Rabadon's Deathcap + Mejai's
  • Rabadon's Deatchap + Oblivion Orb
  • Catalyst of Aeons + Lost Chapter
  • Infinity Edge + Executioner's Calling
  • Serrated Dirk + Last Whisper

It has weird implications, since, as seen above, there are weird cases of items being classified as "Advanced Items." According to the League of Legends Wikia:

"An advanced item is one that is crafted from at least one basic item but can still be upgraded further. Advanced item previously referred to items that had only basic items in their recipe regardless of whether they upgraded further, which put items like Infinity Edge in the same category as Phage."

I'm also not too sure people would be too happy with the concept of another Lethality item, which could also double as a Last Whisper item.

Edit: I'm discussing this with my friends. Forgot that LW is just 10% when not upgraded, and Recurve + Stinger gives 90% AS.

I would love for such an item to exist, as the other person has said, it would create a huge diversity in all classes.
