A potential gamemode idea for League of Legends
After seeing Aphelios, we wondered how crazy could go with the game. We started memeing on the crazy gamemodes that could be made, but I think a good concept might have emerged. Picture 2 lanes that are parallel to each other with 5 people on each team: -Howling Abyss might be a good representation of lane, but it could be debatable on how the 2 lanes are made. There are 4 laners in each lane, 2v2 , where at the start of the game, partners are chosen, like Kalista's Oath. If Partners are not chosen, they are selected randomly. The partners are then sent to their lanes, going against another duo. Now what some people may question is where the last 2 people without partners go. -In the center of the map, gamemodes occur. They can be as random as running over objects or fighting creeps and monsters. Clearing the objective first grants your team a buff. The interesting factor I said was that you could swap your "challenger" (the player clearing the objective). After at least 2 rounds, a random player is chosen, but the challenger can ask another player to become the challenger. Both teams are alerted 30 seconds before the challenge begins, and the challenge will only last 1-2 minutes (undecided). This allows your team to decide which champion is most suited for the challange. -The Challenge buffs can vary from one another, and provide different buffs to the team (somewhat like the drakes, but maybe more creative than just a stat boost). One idea I had was a movement speed boost when casting an ability, that was stronger the long the activated ability's cooldown was. I also had an idea of Debuffs, like maybe an inverse of the previous suggestion. I have no clue where this was going, but I hope Riot makes a new gamemode.
