Will the Warwick update keep him as a Juggernaut or make him a Diver?

Currently Warwick is classified as a fighter (a class offensive/defensive oriented melee champions) and as we all know the class fighter has two subclasses: juggernauts and divers.

Juggernauts tend to be less mobile (movement speed abilities (Garen, Skarner) seem fine but they lack dashes in general), kiteable, and need to be built more tanky (zero to two offensive items and the rest tank items) in general, but are rewarded with naturally higher base damage (they tend to have some ability of burst so 40% cdr is great on them, though some can be more sustained damage oriented). Unlike tanks, who also tend to build full tank items, juggernauts tend to lack multiple forms of hard CC and have generally better base damage (Nasus, Volibear, Mundo are juggernauts).

Divers on the other hand have at least that gap closer that is readily available for them with a relatively short cooldown (most of the times its not in an ult but there are exceptions such as Diana, who was meant to be more of a diver but now is built and functions like an assassin). However, unlike assassins, once they commit into diving they have no escape and must commit into a full duel to destroy the enemy. Unlike assassins they are given more defensive tools such as hard cc (only mage oriented assassins tend to have hard cc), or defensive abilities (think like Pantheon's passive, Jax's codunter strike, Irelia's passive, Aatrox's heals, etc). Divers can be both sustained damage oriented (Jax, Tryndamere, Xin Zhao, Irelia, Aatrox) or casted/burst damage oriented (Wukong, Pantheon, Vi, Lee Sin), but of course the burst damage would not be as high as assassins (it technically can with items but the overall kit is unforgiving with 5 offensive items). Divers need to build more damage items in general (think like 2 to 3 offensive items and the rest tank items with Tryndamere being the only exception) than juggernauts but less than assassins for their kits to truly shine. And of course you got champions like Master Yi, Riven, Fiora, Yasuo who all seem to be able to build full offensive items and have that diving potential, but due to their innate mobility to dash in and out of situations and kite well they are categorized more as skirmishers, which belong to another class called slayers in which the assassins also fall under.

Anyways, with this background knowledge, I was hoping to state what Warwick's current state of role is. Pre-6 Warwick is definitely a juggernaut (he lacks dashes, is extremely kiteable, has only conditional speed boost, lacks any hard cc to even be considered a tank, and has built in sustain to keep him durable). Once he turns level 6, his role is rewarded the potential role of a diver (his most important contribution to the team) due to his diving suppression, but once he utilizes his ult he is still a juggernaut (champions like Gnar are also like him). Overall Warwick currently spends most of his role as a juggernaut (a pathetic one in fact), but most of his value is placed at his diving role. This seems a bit confusing and overall incoherent in terms of role design. I think if the new Warwick is designed, his primary role should be more emphasized and not overshadowed by one ability that determines his secondary role.

What do you guys hope Warwick to be?

Fighter way back when Warwick was created did not equate Juggernaut. Warwick was not intended to achieve a heavily tanky fantasy, he was supposed to be a sustained skirmisher.

Considering CertainlyT (is rumored to be) the one at the head of the Warwick update, it does not matter what he becomes; people will still be ridiculously salty by day one.

Making him more of a werewolf by giving him a pounce animation on an ability would be nice though

Strongly think they said he will be a Diver.
