Pick your role

Put up your preferred champions (Pick up to five)

game captain can approve or deny based on champ list

then champ select as normal draft style, three bans per team and a pick order, but based out of the enemy roster.

This makes the bans way less at random, puts the picks on a higher level of strategy (Because banning 3 out of, and then picking vs 22 champions is more strategically important) than the current banning against 130+ champions...

in addition each player can have a sixth "Ace" pick, which they could only choose if three of their champs were banned, these ace champions can not be banned out but can only be chosen in certain situations, this could lead to certain ban strategies where the team intentionally bans three picks of one of their players in order to secure a pick.

in addition, the fill role will allow you to have twice as many champions in your roster, assuming two for each role. since fill will land you support roughly 80% of the time, this would fill in that gap. and would fill in that gap if another lane becomes the never picked lane (Lets hypothetically say for some reason nobody wants to play mid or jungle in season 7 due to some weird river change or summoner spell removal)
