After "immobile mage" update... we finally get Support Update, right?

The Mage Update is just around the corner, following suit from the Marksmen Update, and before that the Juggernaut Update revamped top lane items and champions. Though it wasn't an 'official update', the jungle and items underwent significant changes over the last season. All that's left is for supports to finally get the attention they deserve...

Maybe some day they'll be able to maintain their level and not have their items nerfed because of mid laner abuse.

I don't think they're separating the supports from the mage update, apparently Zyra's update is focusing on her support aspects.

They changed their minds after community outcry, instead working on making her able to be a stronger mid laner

I thought they were trying to accomplish both, also changing their mind after community outcry doesn't really sound like Riot.

It may have been both, but I know for sure at least they aren't only focusing on support.

And you'd be supported how much Riot actually caves into community pressure, for good or for bad.

More times than not when a champ is getting a rework it goes through no mater what the community thinks, at least it seems that way, the Sona rework and the Quinn rework both had a ton of negative feedback that was basically ignored.

We got the blind back for Quinn, as well as stronger harrier marks.

In the bad side of the scenario, they nerfed her for no real reason other then reddit

I actually prefer the old blind over the current one, and I miss the other half of her kit, the map movement is alright but it feels like a different character now.

Unlikely. Supports are actually in a decent place identity-wise: most of them are MUCH more distinct in their role than many of the other categories that exist.

I think we're going to see the following before Supports:

-Dive Fighters -Pure Tanks -Initiation Tanks -Duelists/Skirmishers -Assassins -At least one other Mage subclass

Technically support were one of the first class update when they introduce support item and added sight stone but I wouldn't mind if riot take a look at them again.
