EDIT: Okay, people are somehow confused by what this means. Currently the "Flex" queue is identical to Dynamic Queue, with the only change that solo players will NEVER be in queue with 4-man groups. That's why this is good. That's why this is what solo players have been begging for all season. Being a solo player in a game with groups of 4 sucks, and now that setup is gone from ranked. Thank you, Riot.

I'm honestly surprised this was implemented. Like, huge kudos to Riot. The very idea of 4 mans is so incredibly toxic to the game.

Wait but are three-man premades ONLY matched with duos? Or can they still be matched with 2 solos. Three-man premades are even more of a pain-in-the-ass for solos IMO. At least with four-man premades SOMEONE knows what they're doing. Three-man premades always seem to troll much much more.

I hate this change so much. I solo queue in flex and would prefer to get a group of four. teams tend to play better as they can communicate. I hate solo/duo and it was such a bad idea to re-add it for that vocal minority of players that complained about it. So many time I end up with three of my friends on at once and we are forced to do normals, or end up upset because we can't figure out what we want to do. This is the worst thing riot's ever done. just let us queue up as four. We'll wait longer.
I just did it solo. You can play it solo but it counts towards 5v5 flex placements ._. I dont even know
how is this a good change? i either play solo or 4-man mostly, so now i have to find some other person and invite them on the few days i CAN 4-man?
this is only good for the niche "4-man that hates the solo player" area, it doesn't do anything for anyone else beyond that
I actually prefer playing solo with groups... Why wouldn't they give me the option?
Took them a full season to realize that 4-man parties are nothing but toxic and unfairness-inducing.
If DynamicQ had that in the first place, half of the complaints would have been gone. Oh well, better than never.
How is flex que even supposed to work? Solos won't go there, they have no reason to, hell they hated it so much it's the reason dynamic que got split in the first place. Duos won't go there either, same as solos, why go there when solo/duo que exists? Trios will go there, but who exactly will they play with? 4 mans are disabled. 5 mans will only go vs 5 mans.

They prevented 4-players premades because there will probably be not much solo players in this queue, so queue-times for 4-players premades would be way too long.
Still they will allow groups of 4 people to join flex queue if there are enough solo players.
They also said, they may turn 4-man premades on, if the number of solo players is sufficient.
So don't praise them just yet.
So, what if I (being a silver player) have exactly 3 friends who play LOL (who are also bronze/silver), and we want to play ranked together? What do the 4 of us do if we want to play together in a competitive environment? We usually end up doing normals, which is okay. But you get more DCs and off-meta picks in there which make the game less fun if we are really trying to win and get better together.
