Super High Risk Item Idea: Apocalypse Sword

Apocalypse Sword +600 gold (4500 total) +200 AD UNIQUE Passive (The End is Near): When you die or become untargettable, this item is consumed.

Reasoning: a superweapon to end games, one way or the other. You can't Zhonya's, Guardian Angel or even be eaten by Tahm without this item being destroyed. It is essentially unusable on Master Yi or Fizz to prevent abuse cases like rushing it on super safe champs. If you buy this item, you are committing to winning the game before your next death or you will lose because you dumped 4500 gold into an item that's no longer there.

Of course, you can simply not buy it. No one forces you to buy it. But the option is there as a last ditch effort to come back, or to seal the deal.

So no cool passive or active ability? just a flat 200AD? seems kind of bland to me

Nice weapon ;P Only a real option when you are full build and want more damage (even then kinda redundant), offers no useful passives or actives and destroys itself, making you regret ever buying this weapon

Unfortunately, this is really awful for League's design style.

League is not designed to have such swinging power spikes, especially for such a high cost. Every other item in the game is both cheaper and more reliable than this, and thus better than this. The characters who would be most interested (hyper scaling assassins) tend to be very vulnerable anyway: we saw this problem with Sword of the Occult -- no one bought it, because there were either and more reliable better items (for AD carries), or dying was too easy (for assassins).

This has the same issue, but with a HUGE cost increase and huge target on your head. No one will buy it -- if you're behind you want reliability, and if you're ahead you want insurance that you won't lose your advantage.
