Champions That Badly Need New Skins

I'm noticing as of late with all the splash art updates and new skins coming out that there are a few champions that Riot seems to be glossing over for reasons I'm not too sure of. We see a few reworks here and there but there are some champions that have been outright ignored as far as new skins go.

We all know about the awkwardness of a few select champions that have received a new skins just months after release, such as Darius or Yasuo, but there are champions that have gone years without so much as a mention of a new skins. We are a few months away from 2015 and there are champions who have waited years and I wanted to list a few. Some listed have a few skins (such as Akali) but haven't received one in years and some listed only have 1-2.

I was going to list off champs who received splash art updated but it looks like just about everyone is as of late so that isn't relevant anymore. There are a few champions who haven't REALLY gotten a new skins but they technically have due to World champion skins, so we will leave them off as well.

*Akali *- Last received - **2011 **- akali has 6 skins, though some you cannot get anymore *Evelynn *- Last received - 2011 - Not only has it been a while, but she only has 3 and can't purchase one of them *Karthus *- Last received - 2011 - I know he got a fnatic skin, but he needs a REAL skin and it seems like he kinda got ripped off *Kassadin *- Last received - 2011 *Kennen *- Last received - 2011 *Malzahar *- Last received - **2011 **- It is like Riot forgot about this poor guy *Mordekaiser *- Last received - **2011 **- Another champ Riot seems to have forgotten *Nunu *- Last received - **2011 ** - another champ that got screwed out of a skin because "World champ skin". *Skarner *- Last received - **2011 **- I'm convinced Riot hates Skarner. Screwed up his rework, nerfed him, then gave up. *Taric *- Last Received - **2011 **- Yet another forgotten champ :( *Trundle *- Last Received - 20 freaking 10 - Yes he got a facelift but...that isn't a new skin, and he only has 2 otherwise. *Twitch *- Last Received - 2011 - How does this guy not have a skin for over 3 years? *Warwick *- Last Received - **2011 **- Add to the pile of champs Riot forgot about. *Yorick *- Last Reviewed - **2011 **- See last comment *Zilean *- Last Received - **2011 **- Again, how has it been so long?

**Zac - Not that old in comparison to the others but he only has one, and it is up there with Rusty Blitz as far as bad and lazy goes. Color purple, slap on some extra head tentacles, this should never have been a thing.

Long post I know but the tl:dr is that there are quite a few champions that are in need of skins (over 3 years is a bit excessive)

Dot Forget Elise. had 2 new costumes since release, and one of them is exsclusive.

Skarner has already gotten his kit and visuals updated. There is no excuse now for not having BattlecastSkarner

Riot needs to stop making HD skins, for champions that don't even have an HD classic. They made Spirit Guard Udyr or whatever with mega HD graphics, added all new attack animations and everything else, made it cost $35.00 and called it a ultimate skin. THAT IS NOT AN ULTIMATE SKIN, THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN HIS CLASSIC SKIN! I'm serious though, Pulsefire Ezreal, that was an ultimate skin, it was a new concept and gave Ezreal a different feel. Spirit Guard Udyr is the same theme as Classic Udyr, except Classic Udyr still looks like a hippie with a shag carpet on his head. It'd be fine if they still made an ultimate skin for him, but at least give his other models a VU.

I agree that some of these champions could really benefit from some new skins (Malzahar plz....) a few of these champions are due for a visual rework which is what riot seems to be focusing on for the pre-season. But champions like taric and eve are in dire need of a visual rework as they are probably the worst looking champions in the game at the moment

Akali - No. May this 3 gap closer champ die. Evelynn - they're still trying to figure out what to do with her in general Karthus - he also got a complete model update with an metal album bundle with as many - if not more - lines as Azir, fairly supplement Kassadin - needs model update before new skin Kennen - eh. dunno, more in need of a model update Malzahar - needs model update more Mordekaiser - needs model update more Nunu - needs a model update more Skarner - Agreed Taric - Model update/complete rework/launch incoming Trundle - it's been a while Twitch - recent "facelift" and a pretty good one to boot - will prolly get a championship skin Warwick - needs a model update beforehand Yorick - they're working on the rework Zilean - this champ is toxic as is and prolly is in line for a rework as well

Akali She has 6 skins. She doesn't need more. KarthusNunu He has TONS of skins, and the Fnatic skin is still a "real skin" Twitch He's probably getting a world championship skin soon for Samsung White.

Karthus has plenty of skins. Pentakill is this shit, and his other skins are decent for their price.

Kassadin - Last received - 2011

I agree with Kass. Kass has one good skin, and the rest are pretty bad. Again, I'm pretty sure they're going to wait for his VU.

Kennen - Last received - 2011

Kennen's non legacy skins are very good, and they'll probably wait until his VU.

Malzahar - Last received - 2011 - It is like Riot forgot about this poor guy

He does need another high quality skin, although Djinn and Overlord are pretty sweet.

Mordekaiser - Last received - 2011 - Another champ Riot seems to have forgotten

Pentakill is the shit, and they're probably going to wait until his VU.

Nunu - Last received - 2011 - another champ that got screwed out of a skin because "World champ skin".

Uh, Nunu has a crapton of awesome skins. Nunu Bot, that is all.

Knowing Riot's track record with Skarner, I'd say he's going to stay forgotten.

Taric - Last Received - 2011 - Yet another forgotten champ :(

Armor of the Fifth Age Taric. That is all. Ok, maybe another skin would do fine once he gets VU'd.

Warwick has plenty of skins. In fact, if Master Yi didn't exist, I'd say Warwick would have the best skins in the game. I mean, Big Bad Warwick, Firefang, and Hyena?

Again, they're probably waiting on his VU and rework. Plus you've got Groovy Zilean, which is one of the best recolors in the game.

also, feel Karthus NEEDS a new skin. the ones he hs now aren't that great. perhaps one more expensive, since his most expensive is a 975.(Reaper)

Yorick won't get anything until his rework. Riot hates his kit, and intends on a full overhaul. This is also why he's the only champion to be officially removed from the free rotation currently.

Warwick is currently being reworked (last I heard), so he's probably not getting any love until after that.

The rest... Could use some love.

A lot of those older champs are getting updates to their visuals soon and they're not gonna make skins for them until that happens. No excuse for Trundle though. Kassadin however, must NEVER get a new skin, because then people will start picking him again and then I'll have to go back to banning his stupid purple butt.

There ARE a ton of champs who dearly need new skins though, I agree. I'd also love to see Lux get a real skin finally. Yeah, she's got a few skins already, but honestly having 3 or 4 bad skins feels worse to me than having only one half-decent skin. There have been a TON of ideas posted on the forums about Lux skin ideas and still nothing.

imo even though i dont play him and find him the most boring champ in the game, yorick should be at the top of the list, followed by zac, the next skin i buy will be a zac skin, and im not buying purple zac.

Funny fact is that Yorick and Skarner didn't got a single skin since their release. I think they both started their 4th year being skinless. Apparently Skarner has two skin in the making, one being hinted since god knows when basically putting the "Pulsefire Ezreal when?" thing to shame.
