Urf, sadly proving what I knew about this community

In the past year, this community as a whole has been getting progressively worse, and just seeing how people are acting this year in URF compared to last year just makes it even more clear.

I played every day last year of URF, it was a blast, everyone had fun, and sure there were a few "try hards" but it made it amusing.

This year, I have people going afk because they die a few times, people raging because the champ they wanted was banned and intentionally feed, constant salt, and even had 2 different people in two separate games accusing our team of cheating (they weren't joking) because we won so hard.

I was so excited for URF - A break from Ranked and the ragers - or so I thought. It is no different, just the same ragers, same trolls, same people going afk when things don't go their way...and it is depressing. The community is going downhill because of many reasons I won't list off and make this thread any longer, but I'm just really bummed about it, because seeing how people are acting in URF mode even...just...guh.

I can say 100% that from last year to this year (if we are simply comparing URF, and using that as a baseline), the community is twice as bad, as I maybe saw one or two salty people in the entire time I played last year...this year, I see one or two in maybe every 2-3 games. I'm sad now. :(

why do people let teamate get to them so bad? when i play urf I have this mentality "have fun and fuck shit up". I dont care about op pick or this or that, i have fun with whatever champ i have. I think its getting worse that people just seem to complain about things rather than find the good stuff. I enjoyed playing urf with my buddy the other day and Ill enjoy the next gamemode.

I haven't gotten this very often in the last two days I played. I really think this problem is from low mmr. The toxicity goes down with the number of wins. It doesn't go away, but it definitely goes down.

See I didnt play, but could tell this would be ruined like everything else LYTE approves. Everything from my understanding is tested then approved to be sent here by him. Tribunal, to Leave buster, to the STATE OF MIND " TOXIC ".

Lyte is the issue. He has let the 14 year olds ruin a game based on profit needs for LC$

I played since beta, and HEAR everything you just said bro. Games almost done, more people boting then playing now a days. Before Lyte, I never had a single staff issue...Now try to get a personal response from any one....Pfft.

It sounds to me like you just got lucky last year, my experience has been exactly the same both years. Tryhards and toxics, enforcing the URF meta and reporting me if I didn't abide. All game every game.

Just wish people would chillax and stop QQing about URF's balance. There is no balance, that's the f'ing point.

the reason behind this is quite easy to find.

Last year, all the broken stuff where taken away from the mode to avoid "tryharder" to only pick them, making it not interresting for them so they didn't play much game.

This year, all of that stuff is free, so they can spam it all they want (remember, their goal isn't to have fun with uncommon pick, it's to rolfstomp again and again with the same champion they know work) So the "tryharder" stay, blaming the team if, by stellar alignement, their champ is ban or if their team don't pick nearly sure win stuff like them.

That's the main reason this year urf don't match last year urf fun, but I personnaly have hope than riot will cut the rooster (maybe next week) so we can enjoy the game without facing always the same champ :p

I haven't had a problem with ragers or anything, but people constantly picking only god tiers is utterly boring. "Dodge the spamming invisible spear Nidalee!" is an example.

I've only had one of two players with a bad attitude. URF is supposed to be fun and relaxing, but relaxing and having fun while playing League is just too hard for some people apparently.
