"Every Game Is Winnable"

Get in champ select, everyone is super nice, but one guy doesn't talk. Waits till after ban and asks "Hey, can I support?" I as the support, and them as the jungle, I say "Usually I'd be fine, but I'm really bad at jungling, is the only role I don't play in ranked and main support". They didn't respond or say anything else until it is his/her turn to pick.

So I lock in Alistar, mid locks in Talon. So far so good. We get to jungle, he locks in Morgana and goes "I'm going support". Instantly, we are like...uh....no.

So mid being the bro they are says "it's fine, I'll jungle, Morg you can mid, I assume you don't want to jungle". Morg says nothing, everyone else picks as normal.

We get in game, I buy my items, go bot. Morg buys item 3302 and runs bot and sits in bot bush. So we are like, fuck. So I do the best thing I can think, fuck it I'll go mid, Talon already has smite, he jungles. Then Morg proceeds to troll bot, trying to take all the cs from the adc, and just randomly keeps shooting their Q on cooldown at their own tower. Hits level 8, runs mid and sits right in the middle of the lane shooting Qs at our tower, then afks for the rest of the game at around lvl 10 (thank god the enemy mid laner was too busy being bm to me to kill Morg).

Every game is NOT winnable, and while I'm okay with losing, I'm not when the game starts at a handicap with someone that manages to troll, int, AND afk, all in one giant moron. People like this are why I also have no faith in riot's ban system, because this guy is clearly a troll.

Whenever i hear "every game is winnable" i cringe so hard. No its not, not every game is winnable and when i start surrender vote you better accpet it or you will watch me ignore enemy team and let them finish faster.

Wow you're really unlucky

"Every game is winnable" is more a useful mantra than an actual fact. If you believe every game can be won you'll try harder to win even games that seem unwinnable and maybe even turn some of them.

Kayn mid, gets laned against Heimer.

Heimer comes bot 6/0/2 and shreds us (we were already struggling because I had to go help the jungler so bot had free cs and push)

"Kayn is a viable mid pick" - 3/12/2 at 15 minutes, never forget

Whoever told you every game is winnable is flat out wrong.

Think of it like poker. The skill involved is knowing when to do what and bluff well, but all of the good calls and blank expressions amount to nothing if the hand is terrible.

Same thing here. There is nothing a lone player can do to overcome a bad ally situation, assuming they're not smurfing for their self esteem.

Idk how many games I've had where people get auto-filled to a position they don't want then feel entitled to troll the whole game. >:-(

It's not really about thinking that every game is winnable, it's more about having a mindset, where you won't get discouraged at every little thing, and try your best every time, leading to higher winratio. And having positive winratio is a key to steady climbing.

inuitmailman8/2/2017, 6:29:17 PM4 votes

They can always forfeit to you so technically every game is winnable

coeurloyal8/2/2017, 6:51:19 PM4 votes

It's true that there are unwinnable games, but on the flipside there are a lot of people that give up too easily. A lost lane =/= a lost game, and it drives me insane when a solo-laner starts spamming the surrender vote because they're feeding. That can be played around and that game can still be won in under 40 minutes, but they don't care because they aren't dumpstering their lane. If you throw out a surrender vote and it fails, don't proceed to int or spam the vote every 5 minutes. If four people are telling you this game is still winnable, shut up and do your best to help them get there.

This is the most toxic type of player, this is even worse then the type who flames people, at least you put those guys on ignore and they would still try to win the game. But this type is just the cancer you can't do anything about even if you guys try you're best to win any situation, this type of player should get the worst punishment there is.

Just because you're not saying anything in-game doesn't mean you're not toxic.

You didn't finish the quote.

Every game is winnable. Not every game is winnable after a certain point though. Sometimes it's as early as champ select.

CurlyCrusader8/2/2017, 8:01:41 PM2 votes

Every game is winnable, but my line when I want to surrender is "I'd rather not play a 50 minute game for a 10% chance of winning."

I've managed to win games where there was an inter. I managed to lose a 3v5 (while being on the 5 players team). And it was plat+ elo. Everything is possible.

But yeah, if you have 1 inter, 2 afk and your last mate is building like he's playing ultimate bravery, you have some good chances to lose.

Not sure what is your point here. Not every game is winnable, but you always get more chances to win if you try-hard whatever happens rather than if you abandon and quit trying to win.

Also you dont need to win every game to climb. You just need to win a bit more than you lose. And that's totaly doable.

Yeah it's more like: some games are impossible to win, some are impossible to lose. What really matters: the ones that are in between, which would be the other games that aren't the other two. However, the higher the rank, there is a less chance of throws due to slightly less mistakes. Yes there is a difference between bronze, silver, gold, platinum, diamond 5, diamond 3, diamond 1, etc. even if it isn't really obvious

"Every game is winnable" seems like something you would say when smurfing in a much less competent MMR - like "every bronze 4 games should be winnable for a plat 2 player" as opposed to something like "every plat 2 game is winnable for a plat 2 player"

You know, one thing you learn through these meaningless ranks over time is that it takes skill to recognize when you can't win.

Every game is winnable. That is fairy tale told told by people who do premades and who have 70% and higher winrate.

You simply cant carry games with every single champion there is.

What can you do as Sona when your team is bad?

What can you do when you ping for 5 minutes straight 'help' and your jungler ignores you,he keep helping mid lane, and our mid laner has no issues winning.

What can you do when you face hardcore counter? All it takes on opposite team to keep you from carry is for him to be skilled same as you. That is only one player, what about rest 4?

What can you do when you die 3 times to toplaner and his jungler,10 minutes into game, and your jungler completely ignores going and helping you, even after you managed to take down enemy to 5% hp,but he has awesome escaping abilities, and you do not.So after 10 minutes of trying to take him down, you either die to his jungler or you take him down to literally 4 hp.He run away, come back and here we go again, jungler nowhere to be seen on top, dude freely keep casting, and dancing and whatever, because he cant kill me.He alone cant, and oh wait, what we have ere,oh its his jungler of course. This right here has happened this morning.

Siegfriedx18/2/2017, 8:02:03 PM1 votes

The point is that people in league love to use excuses to justify why they lose.

The problem is not to lose when you have this Morgana on your team. The problem is the top laner dying 5 times in 10 minutes and saying he lost because of Morgana. Is the mid laner losing a trade level 1 and getting outfarmed just to blame morgana for the lost.

People love to hide on the evident bad to put a shadow on their personal worst.
