Champion Concept) Marieur, the Matchmaker

Marieur (is matchmaker in French) is a control support-mage with many unique forms of utility. She can stop the enemy team and use their power against them.

Basic Information

Primary and Secondary Roles: Support/Mage Movement Speed: 330 Attack Range: 625 Health: 495-1411 Mana: 312-980

Champion Matrix

DAMAGE: 1/3 UTILITY: 2/3 CROWD CONTROL: 3/3 MOBILITY: 2/3 DEFENSE: 1/3

DIFFICULTY: 4/10

Passive: Uncanny Charm

Marieur has a unique charm about herself making her unresistable to males. Whenever an allied male hero heals or shields her, it is 25% more effective. When an enemy male hero uses a crowd control ability on her, it lasts 25% shorter.

Q: Romanticism

Cooldown: 12/11.5/11/10.5/10 Mana: 60/65/70/75/80

Marieur spawns a small heart at a location which will cause nearby enemies to walk towards it for 1.5 seconds (enemies can still attack while moving). When an enemy champion reaches it, it explodes and deals 65/95/125/155/185 (+50% AP) magic damage to all enemies in its radius.

W: Escape the Crowd

Cooldown: 22/20/18/16/14 Mana: 45/50/55/60/65

When Marieur is attacked, she can cast this ability for the next 2.2 seconds.

Marieur escapes the attention from enemies and teleports to an area, shielding herself and allies near her location from 75/110/145/180/215 (+30% AP) damage for the next 3 seconds.

E: Awestruck

Cooldown: 18/17/16/15/14 Mana: 60/70/80/90/100

Marieur spawns an unattackable clone of herself at an area which prevents enemies nearby from leaving an area around it (because they wanna be near her so much) for 2 seconds. As the area fades, enemies take a 30/35/40/45/50% damage reduction for 1.5 seconds.

R: Match Made in Heaven

Cooldown: 85/80/75 Mana: 90/100/110

Marieur pairs two allies (or one ally and herself) sending a wave of healing between each other that bounces three times per partner over 6 seconds, healing them 75/105/135 (+25% AP) for each bounce.

Give me your opinion on her! (please do not give a ridiculously long math paragraph explaining why she's is op/weak just say it.)

Her passive seems weird. Gameplay should be more important than the characters involved. This isn't rock, paper, scissors.

I like the ult.

Passive: I don't think there ever has been, or ever will be an ability that only works on some champions. Hell, even Ahri's charm, which from a lore point of view should only be able to work on males, works on everybody the same amount.

Q: This just feels like a more powerful Ahri Charm.

W: Stronger version of Ahri and Kassadin's ult.

E: Camille ult?

DIS CHAMP OP.

Have we met before? [slayer-jinx-wink]

I know this man. You would've gotten a ~~novel ~~ a godddamn trilogy if you hadn't added that last bit in.

P - No. This is literally the definition of hard counter, which should not be incorporated into League of Legends. Q - No. Even if they still have the ability to attack, this is an AoE Taunt that also does damage. That's not very fun, and considering how you didn't mention if there's a windup time... No. W - No. An escape that only happens when in combat that also shields - It's a better version of Thresh's W. Why use Thresh's W when you can teleport, everyone gets a shield automatically, and the shield is overall better unless you manage to get enough souls? E - Damage Reduction? Are you saying that they take less damage the longer the clone lasts? And she already has her Q, don't make her more stronger in crowd control... R - This is pretty creative, it's like a Nami Ebb and Flow except in my opinion fits in with her abilities best. Reduce the base stats a bit though, please.

Overall, this champion has a few flaws (1) I can only see her spamming Q and E in teamfights to make them unable to move (2) She has a very good escape that also beat other champion shields (3) Passive needs to be scratched

I'll give you this though - abilities were extremely creative and this was a charming concept to read.

Alright, I've come to leave my two cents.

Passive: This is very strange. Interesting in theory, but never used in practice. You can effectively make her not have a passive by having the enemy team select Caitlyn Janna Fiora Lux Sejuani. This isn't good for gameplay, and I don't see riot ever implementing something like this. Might I suggest a new passive?

Passive: Uncanny Charm Every 40/35/30 seconds, this champion's next auto-attack deals 10/20/30 bonus magic damage and charms the enemy unit hit for 0.75/1/1.25 seconds.

Q: This ability should allow the opponents to cast spells as well. If I'm reading this right, you only control where they are going, not what they are casting/attacking. I mean, I really don't have anything against it. However, I'd like you to define the range and how long the heart lasts. I'd say a balanced cast range would be around 450, the AoE should have a 250 radius, and the heart lasts up to 4 seconds? Also, any mobility spells should be allowed to be used to escape the circle.

W: I'd say only cast this ability if she is attacked by an enemy unit and there is at least 3 enemy units around her. Other wise she could just escape a lone wolf assassination attempt, which really isn't in the spirit of "Escape the Crowd." Also, becoming untargetable during a slow dash would make more sense thematically.

E: I honestly think this ability just needs an rework in terms of execution. Here's my suggestion: E: Awestruck When this ability is cast, any nearby enemies facing this champion receive a 99% slow that decays over 1/1.5/2/2.5 seconds. Enemies not facing this champion when this ability is cast are silenced for 1 second. The range should be around 600.

R: I honestly think this is a really cool ult. I have no critique.

Well there you have it, my two cents!

I know this is a plug, but would you mind checking out my champion concept and leaving some critique? Thanks! Esben, The Leveler
