Rynlin, The Magnus Pus
A low grumbling along the forest floor, beckons your curiosity. The plant life is retracted and wilted as you approach the foreign noise. A pulsating mass of sludge wraps itself around a great tree in the middle of the forest. Its convulsions imitating breathing life, yet it seems that the life in its vicinity folds to the noxious fumes permeating it. You draw your weapon and strike the malleable material. The substance bursts releasing a revolting stench that knocks you back away from the great tree. Through the toxic fumes, an estrange figured materialized from the back of the tree. The figure seemed to be comprised of the same gelatinous muck that had released the poisonous gas. You reach for your weapon that fell behind you on another pustule, and sank into the black mass. As you turned to face the horrid creature, you noticed a smirk grow on its face. The pussy blob behind you burst forth from the ground, clogging the pores of your body. Your sight vanishes and as you scream in terror you notice with each breath the fumes roll down your throat until you suffocate.
Rynlin is a melee tank that excels at zoning. With a kit designed trapping opponents in poisonous gas clouds, forcing them to commit and continue to take damage or retreat from Rynlin. There are definitely ideas that I have for this champion that could be broken or even underpowered. Also, may be too much poison. So, Let's get into the ability concepts.
Passive: Corporeal Vapor
Every fourth auto-attack against from an enemy champion or large monster Rynlin causes part of his body to rupture and release a cloud of poison where he stands. The cloud last for 2 seconds and deals **10/20/30/45 damage/second (levels at 6/11/16) for 3 seconds.** After 3 seconds of not taking damage Rynlin's body stabilizes and resets his passive.
**Q: Pus spores **
Rynlin breathes out infectious spores in a small cone in front of him. All units hit becomes infected with pus for 4 seconds. Enemies infected with pus take an additonal **6/12/18/25/30 magic damage** from Rynlin's auto-attacks. If a champion dies while infected with pus, after 3 seconds a pustule forms where the unit died.
W: Plant Pustule/EruptPustule
Rynlin spews part of his pus body onto a surface (wall or ground) and creates a **Pustule** in the area. **Pustules** take 2 hits to destroy and when destroyed release a cloud of poison in the area around them (ground) or out from them (wall). Enemy units in the area when the pustule erupts take **40/65/80/95/115 magic damage**. Enemy units that walk through the poison take **20/40/60/80/95 damage/second for 3 seconds**. Rynlin can explode the pustule himself by pressing **W** while the player's cursor is over a pustule. Enemy units that walk over ground pustules are slowed by **30%** while on the surface.
E: Sludge Toss
Rynlin shoots out a clump of bile in a straight line that attaches itself to the first enemy unit hit. The unit is slowed by 65% until the **Sludge** is destroyed or for 4 seconds. If the unit is hit by an auto-attack while the **Sludge** is on them, the sludge is destroyed and it releases a cloud of poison where the unit is, dealing **20/40/60/80/95 damage/second for 2 seconds**.
R: Ensnaring Slime
Rynlin grabs a unit within range and suppresses them for 4 seconds. If Rynlin is hit by hard cc the suppression ends. While suppressing the enemy unit they are marked with **Sludge**, and any auto-attacks on the unit create a cloud of poison that deal **10/20/30/45 damage/second for 3 seconds.**
So, those are the basic ability concepts. Still considering whether his abilities would cost mana or health. If health was the cost I would probably make his auto-attack benefits from his q heal him rather than do more damage to the enemy champion.
I imagine him being a support/jungler/top laner. As a support he could zone the enemy adc in lane with pustules in along the walls in the bushes. If the enemy adc came to close to the push he could erupt it. His Sludge toss would also be good for letting his laner get off good harassment and for setting up ganks. His ultimate would have a pretty small range, maybe about half of malzahars so it would be hard for him to engage on the enemy adc with it, but with good communication he could get a good slow for 4 seconds and if his laner didn't attack the enemy adc, he could run up and then suppress the enemy adc.
Top lane would pretty much be the same thing, except being more reliant on his q damage. He excels against melee top laners because once he is level 6 if he gets a gank from his jungler he can set up a a gank very easily. Although not having an escape of his own, his pustules allow him some protection from enemy gankers as well.
Jungling with Rynlin would rely on his passive a lot. The large monsters at each camp could trigger his passive giving him some aoe clear help, while his Q would help do more damage to single target camps. He may not be the best at jungling, but I'm sure if this was a real champion someone could figure it out.
