New summoners rift map ideas

As you know Riot will release the new summoners rift map soon. They have added outcoves to the bottom and top lane. However right now as it is, there is really no incentive to go into the outcove. Some have suggested adding mini heals however I think that would lead to lane bullied becoming even more dominant. Rather I think that there should be a mystery box in the outcove. The mystery box opens up every few minutes and the mystery box open time can be something laners can fight over like a mini objective. The mystery box will requires payment of 250 gold and will randomly spit out a item. The items are cheap ones such as long-swords, cloths, amplifying tombs. Once the mystery box is spun, the box spits out an item and can be picked up like rift herald. However anyone can pick it up.

Thoughts?

  1. This type of rng is extremely bad thing. You have 0 control over it, some items are useless for some champions while others can win the lanephase for you, and it costs gold for some reason. Would be nice to waste 250 gold on a longsword as an ap champion
  2. There is no reason to add such a mechanic just so that people will walk through a certain path sometimes

I'd go in depth as to why this is such a bad idea, but that would take too long..
