Asta, the dreamer Midlane mage/Jungle range: 550

Passive: Ambition Asta dreams of being the strongest hunter ever. Asta gains ambition stacks after killing an unique monster. With each ambition stack, Asta gains 15 ability power.

Q: Specter Asta throws a spectral spear at a target direction of 700 range, which deals aoe magic damage on impact. Recasting specter will suspend the spear in motion for up to 1.5 seconds. In that 1.5 second time frame, you can choose where it will appear from to go towards its new destination (Anywhere, any direction as long as it is in your field of view - not including mini map view). Hitting a champion grants a short burst of movement speed. Suspending Spectral spear with Concrete grants it additional speed and the ability to go through multiple enemies, reducing magic resist.

E.g. Throws spear and recasts Q stopping the spear in motion, choose a new starting point for the spear to come from and the spear stopped in motion disappears and the spear reappears at the new location.

W: Concrete Using concrete will suspend Asta's skill shots and enemy skill shots in flight for 1.5 seconds.. e.g. Nidalee throws spear, Asta uses W, and the spear suspends for a few seconds before going along its path.

E: Trance Asta unleashes a powerful beam of energy which widens the farther it travels (up to 750 range), dealing more and more magic damage and slowing enemies. Trance will stun enemies hit for 1.5 seconds, if Trance was suspended in flight by Concrete.

R: Astral Projection Asta leaves his own body to appear as a projection anywhere on the map, for up to 5 seconds. While in projection form, Asta's abilities deal no damage and cannot crowd control anyone. But to enemies, Asta and his abilities will look real. Damaging Astas projection form and taking him down to 75% health will prematurely return him to his original body.

Astas original body takes 1.25x damage while in projection form and drains huge mana every second.

Recast R to return to original body.

I like the q and w and e a lot, passive seems too strong, ultimate seems like it needs something else unless its on a low cooldown or you just wanna psych people out the whole game, maybe if when his astral projection takes damage when he returns to regular form he gets temp mr or ap? idk. i like your idea overall and seems very fun

Hey there! Chubby here! I dug deep for your character creation (lol exaggerating), and I finally got around to doing it. I'm doing some older creations before some of the newer ones that been coming up recently so that these older ones don't get forgotten. With that being said, I want to congratulate you for breaking my head. This is very unique and a little hard for my small brain to comprehend. The fact that this champion interacts with skill shots without negating them means she would be a slightly better version of Yasuo (curse that damn Windwall). She has a lot of potential, but I feel like we could definitely clean up the kit to really solidify her identity.

For starters you have her classified as a mage/jungler but little damage mitigation (ex. life steal, shield, armor/MR growth, health regen etc) and your spells interact with skill shots (which the jungle monsters lack), and I'll mention that later in the review. For now let's go down the line of her abilites starting with her passive:

Passive: Ambition Asta dreams of being the strongest hunter ever. Asta gains ambition stacks after killing an unique monster. With each ambition stack, Asta gains 15 ability power.

Currently, there are 18 monsters (15 if you only consider one dragon), which translates to Asta having a massive 270 AP if she manages to get all of the 18 monsters. That may not seem like much, but in his fist clear he gets 165 AP ... that's 165 AP by level 3 which is the equivalent of having a Rabadon's Deathcap AND a Blasting Wand... at level 3. We'll have to add a limitation to this passive, a big one! What I would suggest lowering the AP granted for each stack to more balanced number (right now I can't provide you with any, sorry) so we can make this passive function as intended but not be so powerful upon the first jungle clear. Another suggestion could be providing these stacks (of course granting a smaller amount of AP), but have them fall off after some time. I'll offer an example of what I mean so you can better understand:

  • (Ambition) Passive: Asta gains ambition stacks after killing a unique monster. Each ambition stack grants X ability power and X movement speed. Asta will lose a stack of Ambition after X seconds out of combat.

In my example you can see that Asta still retains her stacking mechanism, but it will only last as long as she is in combat. I added the movement speed bonus to facilitate him going from camp to camp so that it becomes easier for him to get stacks. After he has acquired a decent amount of stacks he can then gank more efficiently since he'll be walking into lane not only with increased movement speed, but also the AP! Of course, once he leaves combat he loses stacks, and if he were to recall he would have to start all over again, but I feel like this passive is more interactive instead of killing all the camps once and getting the AP. Asta players will always have something to look forward to after they back instead of just farming for the sake of gold and experience. I think it would be more fun, but it's just a suggestion lol.

I have a little confusion reading this ability and Asta's W since they seem to do the same thing, except Asta's W interacts with the enemies' skill shots as well. Why not just make this ability a regular skill shot, and let his W do all of the fancy work? 700 range is also very short, unless he is meant to be a mid range caster, in which case this range would be fine. It just seems a little counter intuitive to have this ability stop skill shots if you're W already does that. Just my small brain overthinking stuff. Pay no attention to me.

W: Concrete Using concrete will suspend Asta's skill shots and enemy skill shots in flight for 1.5 seconds.. e.g. Nidalee throws spear, Asta uses W, and the spear suspends for a few seconds before going along its path.

This ability is similar to Yasuo's W (wind wall), except I think this might actually be more fair, and could potentially offer more playmaking potential. I really like it! Except it's kinda boring. You could add a passive to this ability to spice it up a bit, but aside from that you'd be working with cooldowns and mana costs as you level this ability up. You can think of something to make it a bit more flavorful!

E: Trance Asta unleashes a powerful beam of energy which widens the farther it travels (up to 750 range), dealing more and more magic damage and slowing enemies. Trance will stun enemies hit for 1.5 seconds, if Trance was suspended in flight by Concrete.

Again, a very nice ability. It is on theme of skill shot manipulation and interacts with the rest of his kit. Solid. As a jungler, you would want some form of CC. Asta can quickly get this ability off and get a slow, or could wait for the right time to W it to get off a timely stun. It would reward good players while not exactly punishing players who are new to the champion. I dig it!

I can't help but think that this ability is underwhelming for an ultimate. Do you remember that one time LeBlanc got reworked? Yeah, me either, cus Riot literally said "oops this is bad" and reverted her kit. But during the short time she was reworked, she had a similar ultimate to the one Asta has. LeBlanc could create a copy of herself that she could make anywhere on the map (global) that looked real, even took damage, and scared the crap out of you lol. But at the end of the day... it wasn't a good ability because it didn't do anything lol. Sure, Asta can move around and he's basically a spooky ghost, but it's going to provide much for the team outside of laning phase. A good way of spicing up this ability is to actually allow Asta to interact from his ghost form! It would be a glorified and instant teleport that he could use to quickly help his teammates. But of course this would mean that this ability would function to Twisted Fate's ult, and I'm not sure how well that would work for a jungler since they already provide map wide pressure. But who knows! These are all just some thoughts and suggestions!

Hope I was insightful and helped you out a bit! I would love to hear back from you (even though it's been about a week since you posted this and I'm sure you're dead or something). If you would like, we could work together to get your character fully fleshed out :D Cheers!
