The old one is much better and more gorgeous by comparison. Why a massive change? Her other skins, Nighraven and Headmistress, had a subtle makeover but it looks like Riot went above and beyond to change the Royal Guard skin completely. It doesn't even look like the splash art too.
Such a waste of RP now.

i'm so sad about that right now... everything about that skin's update is bad, the model, the colors, the huge shoulderpad, the cape, the god damn thigh high boots (that i didn't like on classic skin thus why i got royal guard in the first place!)... ugh
The colors look nice. The face is terrible though. They need to fix it. It's too thin and crooked. Like Talon's new art (rest in peace handsome Talon)

Went and bought riot points to buy this skin, good thing i came here to look at the skin first, complete waste of 520 riot points and a complete waste of riots time to hire these people who did this, probably one of the best skins in the entire game completely ruined, thanks riot

This rework is a huge downgrade! The Royal Guard skin is my favorite skin in the game. The changes make it lose so much character. I want the hat and the hat bands, and the cool cape! I also don't like the base skin rework, but I didn't buy that skin. Riot please, don't change the attire of the Royal Guard skin.

I have every Fiora skin and Royal Guard used to be her best by far imo. Now it's probably her worst and I'll have to use like... Night Raven or something. Eugh...
I wish I could refund all my Fiora skins without having to use my refunds ;-;
Honestly I quite like the new royal guard fiora, however I will give you the fact that it doesn't look anything like the splashart nor does the texture look anything like it used to (which is the point in these sort of things, renewing the skin and NOT changing it) The gameplay side of the fiora rework I quite like, but everything on the art side of things has been a bit of a letdown.
They did they same thing with Totemic Maokai, dramatically changed the actual shape and color layout of the skin for seemingly no reason. Luckily I've got Haunted Maokai so I can just eat my loss there, but Royal Guard was my favorite Fiora skin and I'm incredibly disappointed that Riot thinks it's okay to change content that people spent money on (champion updates are a bit different).
After the update I guess I'll just use the new default look, which I actually kind of like. Pity I wasted money on a skin though.

Royal Guard skin was awful to begin with. I really don't care to play as a female musketeer. So cliche.
I love the way that skin looks now. In my honest opinion the Fiora rework looks amazing. Although the headmistress skin's face looks a little off, the rework overall is beautiful. The new model for this skin is a huge improvement.
Its all about Nightraven Fiora now. Loved the original Royal Guard Fiora.
