Best thing ever. I generally play PvAI first thing in the morning, especially on Twisted Treeline, to get my first win of the day but I also like to take my time and enjoy the game. Every now and then, I tend to get that special player who constantly nags people to "all bot now" or "please end in 7 mins" or "end quick" and if things don't go their way, they would spam their pings over and over. Now with ping muting, it's so quiet and peaceful.

Honestly.. Ever since they added the mute ping feature.. ive only ever had to mute 1 person for it..

Just it being there makes players less toxic cuz they wan't to be heard.

I had once in a Ranked game a Miss Fortune player on bot lane who was constantly pinging me twice every second through the whole game (how did she do that while playing?!?) for absolutely no reason (me and another team mate carried and won the game) ... I was almost going on tilt and had already the ping sound mutet, but still saw the pings and it can be very stressful in a 60 min game!

I never got what the big deal was until last week where i had my first pingspammer. I didnt let it get to me but it was still such a pain until i suddenly remembered there was that option and it was so satisfying. I was wrong about this issue and indeed thank you riot!
