So in the new Star Guardian Ahri trailer you see Ahri holding the corrupted gems of some fallen Star Guardians why not take it the next level? Next Year instead of having Star Guardians again make their mortal enemies. "the Fallen Stars" The fallen stars are corrupted star guardians who have been mutated,corrupted and subsequently joined the space monsters and forces of evil. you could give them the anime evil queen get ups where as Evelynn or Zyra could have more beastial and voidlike colorations.

The storyline would be that these are various Star Guardians from eons past who were faced ultimately overwhelming odds and a losing battle then when they needed the Light the most the first star abandoned them leaving them to perish.Without the protection of the First Star they became corrupted by a combination of both the miasma and their own negative emotions mutating them into the Voids strongest allies. Now they want to destroy the "First Star" and engulf the world in darkness as revenge for their ultimate betrayal.

PLOT TWIST this was Syndra's "dark secret" and Syndra betrays Ahri joining the fallen stars commenting that the light wouldnt last forever and they were fighting a unwinnable war only delaying the inevitable.

POSSIBLE "FALLEN STAR" CANIDATES

Leblanc - second in command to Lissandra and second to fall Evelynn - Her mutation has given her a slew of new powers and unquenchable thirst for Star Guardian blood. Has killed more SG's than she cares to remember. Shyvana - Exposure to the Miasma allows her to lose control and transform into a space monster with similar coloration's to the ones on "INVASION" Lissandra - the "First to Fall" and the oldest of all the Fallen Stars. More or less the Final boss of the Star Guardians. Leader of the Space monsters much similar to her current Lore Elise - can Mutate into a Space beast same as Shyvana and spiderlings are replaced with smaller space monsters Kalista - Mutation causes her to repeatably grow spikes out of her body which she uses as a weapon. Also has the whole BETRAYER theme going to accentuate the story line of her betrayal. Morgana - Shes already fallen so it fits.

Star Hunter Shen

A hunter of powerful beings in the universe, fulfilling the duties of his Star, to bring equilibrium and tranquility to the balance of the cosmos. Sees the Star Guardians as either inconsequential or out of balance, depending on their actions and power.

In their battle against the chaotic dark creatures of the universe, the Star Guardians see the sigil drawn in the sky: the Star Hunter has come for them. As their hearts drop with fear at their impending doom, the sigil splits, and so does the space around it. A portal rips open in thin air, and a being encased in the dancing lights of a supernova effortlessly rips through the horde of void creatures, straight at the Star Guardians. They brace for combat, but they are too weary and slow; the Hunter has pierced their ranks. When the dust settles, the Guardians see that the Hunter has completely ignored them and kept going, obliterating all in his path like an unstoppable comet. Then, they hear a voice in their heads, assuring the children of the First Star to not fret, as the Star Hunter's target is the source of this dark horde. Finding newfound strength in a new powerful ally, they take up their weapons and charge after the cosmic hunter's wake of destruction.

(I find the chosen characters and the idea a lot good since Riot seems eager on expanding SG lore/theme).

How about and i know this is far of what you thought how about a Group a space pirates invade the earth maybe called the star destroyers and the star guardians fight them.

I'm not down with this slander/defilement of Morgana's good nature even in an alternate universe. >:(

But they do need a villian line, I do enjoy the option of having set up faction matches, and full skin teams. It was always nice. Just make sure they are a well balanced meta capable team. Not all AP like battle bosses.
