Remastered post: Idea how to bring out LVL8 Mastery!

So, I made about 2 or 3 months ago a rather Detailed Post as to how one might create Lvl 8 Mastery signs for Champions, and I have come to see that it did not gain a lot of attention, mostly because it was still somewhat lackluster and incomplete, and not enough appealing Design-wise. So I decided after very deep thinking to Remaster my post. Better, longer, prettier, and probably stupidier aswell.

SO...

It has been a while since Mastery 6 and 7 Came out, and thought it proved to be somewhat of a Challenge at first, people rather quickly figured it out and earned a couple of LvL7 Champs within a short window of time. Hell, I have seen people have the lvl7 sign on at least 2 champions literally on the day that patch came out. It was not as challenging as intended.....is what I feel like, and so I have come up with something more unique to present you, Incase Riot does consider going further with the Mastery System! You know how Riot is trying to implement those Daily Quests? They made somewhat good use of the System itself, even thought the Quests were poorly designed, if i have to be cruelly honest. They felt too easy to accomplish, you only needed to have a somewhat decent team and Play a champions 3-5 times and that was it. So I thought if we are already gonna use that Daily Quest system, we would discuss how!

As hinted, the Idea I propose is to make the LvL8 Tokens a Quest Reward from completing Daily Quests, but not just any Daily Quests. For me, it would seem like a good Thing if we could implement a Daily Quest System for all LvL7 Champions we currently own, starting from a specific amount of Mastery Points, which is intended to motivate people to actually Play the champion actively.

My Idea was to "Activate" The Quest Pool after 60'000 Mastery Points and Mastery Lvl 7 on a Champion, not a huge Amount of Points, but enough to push people to really Play that Champion for a while, get Indepth used to Him / Her / It.

Then, Once that Requirement has been met, a Total of 5 Champion-specific Quests would be enabled. Incase such occurs for Multiple champions, there would be a small Bar-window where you can click on and scroll through the Champion names to select who's quests you wanna view, preferrably place said Champ-Name Bar on the Top side. Once the Champion was selected, said 5 quests would appear just like the Kayn Quests do, one somewhat Big and Champion-specificly Coloured Window with 5 Detailed Quest-describtions and a Completion bar to show the Progress, and it's Numbers too. Those Quests would need to be something that really connects to the specitif champion, and something a lot harder than just "Play with, as or against [Insert Champ Name]" To give you, my dear Readers, a very Imaginable Idea of how that would look like Content-wise, here are Examples for Quests I have thought of for certain Champions:

Zed: Zed -Kill 10 enemy Champions with an Auto-Attack that Procs "Contempt for the Weak" -Hit a Total of 50 enemy Champions With a Razor Shuriken-Combo thrown by Zed, His "Living Shadow" Shadow and his "Death Mark" Shadow in one cast. (Triple-Shuriken Hits). -Steal the Shadows of 3 Different Champions in One game. -Successfully Use your "Death Mark" and your "Living shadow" Shadows to reposition, and successfully change Places with Both Shadows within 5 seconds, totally 10 Times. -Proc a "Death Mark" With 1000 Or More Physical Damage.

Thresh: Thresh -Collect the Souls of 20 Dead Champions in One game. -Slow 2 or More champions using "Flay" a total of 50 Times -Land 20 Successful "Death sentence" Hooks against Enemy Champions in One Game -Successfully Slow 3 or More champions with "The Box" 15 Times -Move Allies Champions through a Total Distance of 100'000 Units using "Dark Passage"

Gangplank: Gangplank -Collect 750 Silver Serpents within the first 25 Minutes of a Game, 5 Times totally. -Escape 100 Immobilizations, Stuns, Roots and Surpressions Using "Remove Scurvy" -Score 3-Barrel-Combos with "Powder Keg" 250 Times -Execute 25 Champions using "Powder Keg" -Damage all 5 Enemy champions at least once for 300 or More Magic damage with Cannon Barrage per Game for 5 Games.

Soraka: Soraka -Restore 10'000 Health Points on Yourself with "Rejuvenation". -Heal 25'000 Health Points on a Single Allied Champion in one Game. (Discounting a transfered Rejuvenation). -Silence And Root 3 or More enemy Champions with a Single Cast of "Equinox" -Restore a Total of 100'000 Health Points on Allies Champions with "Rejuvenation" Alone. -Heal 250 Champions with "Wish" who have had Less than 40% of their Maximum Health Upon Cast.

These 4 Quest Packages of Quests are merely examples, there are different, easier aswell as harder possibilities, which however will require very careful thinking and Execute the goal to make Playing that Champions really reach Highlights, some of those goals are true Milestones for the Specific champions which take very precise, and incredibly skillful execution to be achieved. The Goal is to bring out that last Something you can do with your champions, and upon completing those quests you can tell yourself "I have Truly Mastered this Champion", and such thought will be Visibly rewarded by being able to craft your Mastery 8 Sign in the Loots (Without any other costs such as blue shards).

I was thinking that maybe Just like the Honor sign, Mastery 8 Could be some Very Majestic Golden Orb-Token that would Envelope itself inside 3 Circles and Those Mastery Sign Wings would grow out, WITH the new change that 2 Swords would Cross themselves Through the Orb and the Circles, said Circles all rotating Around the Centre-Axis (Kinda like that Planet thingy with the circles where you push one and all the circles rotate into a different direction until they line up again) And After the Rotation Stops, the Orb Blinks up once and it vanishes again leaving a small Golddust Trail (Just like the Mastery 7 Sign leaves small Blue Dust Trails)

However, the Looks of the Mastery 8 Display Ingame could be Argued upon, and would Need Artistic Creation, which i completely leave to the Community to design. Everyone has his Own Ideas, and I am confident some would prefer their Ideas over mine, which i Promote! :D

Thank you for your reading!

I feel as if it's a bit too tryhard-ish/grindy. (Just my opinion) EX: -Hit a Total of 50 enemy Champions With a Razor Shuriken-Combo thrown by Zed, His "Living Shadow" Shadow and his "Death Mark" Shadow in one cast. (Triple-Shuriken Hits). This would be a bit too much because it's 50 total and you need to land 3 at once (challenging, yes, but it takes too long.) I agree with the harder to get up to lvl 8 in mastery if implented but that's a bit too much. (Toning it down a bit could maybe help, as I would definitely not even try to get mastery 8 if it's this hard.)

Thresh ones are way to easy compared to other people. It takes relatively no skill to do the hook one, the W one, or the flay one.

RIOT will never agree with this because 70% of community is bronze trash who cant possibly collect these stats, I am not expecting a mastery update for at least a year, maybe even more.

A large portion of these could be done by a first-time player in a long game, like 'Land X successful abilities in a game.' Other than that, this is a cool idea.

But they'd better nerf Ivern again.
