Discuss and debate; should boots work like trinkets?
Should boots function with their own item slot?
And should they have a direct cost?
Im asking because I can't think of a game where anyone doesn't build boots (unless they're cheesing)

I'd say no.
Boots work pretty well with how they're currently implemented.
Also: the main change you'd get from moving boots out of the 6 slot inventory is allow snowballing champions to snowball harder and stalemate games where 2 teams are dragging it out to full build to be dragged out longer.

While at first glance I'd tend to agree, I just feel like the snowball would simply have to be a rebalance, and in a strange way I feel like boots taking the same place as vision trinkets could add an interesting dichotomy of awareness vs mobility, each having massive impact but being required.

Re-balancing all itemization to accommodate 1 change isn't really simple.

That would probably just result in "supports are slow" :/
