Will We Ever See A Katarina Skin With Different Effects/Animations?

The closest we have to that is Slay Belle Katarina, and that's it. Would really like to see something different the next time she gets a skin. :)

Hey Gengars,

We added quite a bit to Warring Kingdoms Katarina in terms of particles. As you've mentioned, Slay Belle Katarina (and Sandstorm Katarina) have different particles.

The issue with Katarina is that she isn't insanely particle heavy, so there aren't as many opportunities to give her flashy particles as compared to someone like Lux. We can absolutely change her particles, but they likely won't be as burst-y as some of the other mages in the game.

Let's make a Legendary Katarina skin where she's a Demacian.

Demacian Soccer Mom Katarina, where she married Xin Zhao and Garen is pissed off about it.

That's true of lots of sword/knife champs, but you did a great job with turning those weapons into some flashy particles with the Project set.

A Headhunter Katarina would be pretty badass with glowing hot pink energy knives that left tracers on all skill and AA motions. Would be a cool throwback to classic Killer Instinct.

I think the real opportunity for a Katarina skin with great particles would be a legendary one, or even ultimate, where she is completely changed in a way. For instance, a lightning based skin. When she shunpos she could reappear as a huge lightning bolt. Her ult could be a fury of lightning strands.

Another way would probably be for her to be fire based. Shunpo with a flame burst similar (but on a smaller scale) to Brand's pillar. And her blade furry could be flaming daggers.

Agreed. I own kitty kat, slay belles and red card and the animations are hardly different. She could use a good legendary skin.

There's only two skins with new particles: Warring Kingdoms and Slay belle, and as far as I know, only Sandstorm has any kind of new animations outside of the recall. For being one of the top mascots of League, she could certainly use some flashier skins

Sandstorm also has new particles - they're a golden sand color and are most noticeable when she uses Shunpo. ^-^

Yeah, she needs to get something more. Kitty cat was the first skin I actually spent money on, and I was disappointed when it didn't have any new particles at all
