Wait, hang on, I gotta question this. I know you can get shards for content that are for champs you don't have, but I'm almost positive Riot said very specifically you couldn't double-unlock things, so no already-owned content (thankfully). You couldn't roll into something you already had. That just wouldn't make any sense on either end of the deal, very especially for longtime players. I'm almost positive that was clarified early on.

No, you can get shard for champs you already have. Riot has said that they are looking into something to do with them, but for the time being people can combine three to get one for any new champ that releases since rerolling the shards will only produce something you don't own. They say they will come up with something better soon, and I think they said something about potentially rerolling them into skins, but don't quote me on that because it may have just been a player saying that part.

i got nemisis jax..i was pleased. I would like to have the system clarified a bit. ill reread the news article but, how do you get shards and keys and chests other than store..?

EDIT: I read it 3 more times...and now i get it, lol (yes it took that many, not sure why)
