I finish a game (this guy was on the enemy team) and got a random friend request. So I accept it thinking: I'll just see what this random person wants!

Then this happens

You have to wonder, will he get banned if I report him? Maybe he was chat restricted and had a lot to say during the game?

Send the uncensored picture to Riot in a support ticket and they will handle that for you. You won't get a fancy pop up saying he got punished or anything (actually they are not allowed to tell you anything about it if you use the support ticket method) but you'll know they saw it and at the very least will keep an eye on him in the future.

I would say the person isn't banned because no one has sent in a support ticket highlighting his behavior yet. Riot has demonstrated that the'll ban people for less time and again- or have you never seen the "hey guys I've been banned but didn't deserve it" threads?

Yes, I have seen those threads.

They don't look at individual cases. instead they get pooled based on how many reports they have for that person and how many times he has been punished. They need to look more into the case and give better verdicts.

I got 17 game chat restriction because I come off as an asshole when I give people advice on certain things. :) <-- these don't work to soften the issue -.-.

Not all liberals are bad. Not all conservatives are good.

- In regards to Riot as a company

I see Riot as just another company after your money and not creating an actually better environment. You can do both of those, you would actually get more money by getting rid of certain bad people and fixing some in-game systems.

This would get more people to come and actually stay!

They just don't seem to care. They have plenty of people putting up great suggestions on how to fix the system and they don't acknowledge those people. They acknowledge a few but some people aren't just being heard.

It would be great for them to be ore open with what they have coming down the pipeline.

They don't have to show us their 50 meter target but it would be great to see their 5 and 25 meter targets.

And yes I am aware they have upcoming patch notes etc. but that's just the 5m target

- In regards to the negative post from the OP

I say certain bad people because some people are just having a real sh*t day and don't have another way to vent.

The person in the picture, is not just having a bad day.

Sorry your post was hard to read due to spelling issues but I think I pieced most of it together.

So it seems from your point, IMO, that liberalism in a game company would be better than conservatism.

I don't think you can see every little problem as one big one in this world(games), each problem needs to be taken care of individually.

I think it would be good to have the tribunal back, but have certain cases be flagged for Admin/mods and other handled by the community.

I would assume it is just down for redesign but I believe it has been years. So maybe they don't have any plans for it?

This hits on my 5 25 and 50 meter targets. They share 5 m target info but nothing more and it keeps us in the blind.

Not sure if Riot realizes that we are the one that funds them, lol. We deserve info into what they are doing.

I think permaban is maybe not the best solution. It is not gonna stop him play this game and most likely will make him less considering about what is he saying. All because he is free to make as many accounts as he wants.

Besides the report, we as community should help those people a bit, we need to be honest with them and tell right back to someone like this how sad it this that he got so low to feel the need to say those things in a very fun game. How sad it is that he cant feel like a sport. That he is missing on so much good times and so many friends. And that the thing that drives him win - the thing that makes him satisfied only when he shows others are inferior in any way: is driving him in a colorless and lonely lane.

At least that is what I did to a kid like this, only i befriended him ... Got scared afterwards, his match history was empty for at least 3 weeks, so I started second guessing my decision to be honest to him about his state of mind. But now he is Gold, hope his doing fine, was in a team for a while. I never contacted him again nor did he me, so i don't know if he changed his ways but i do hope he has grown a bit.

And remember, a lot of them are kids and "it takes a village to raise a child" - we are what our community makes us and we shape our community, every single one of us.

And The OP response was very good too :D, i like that spirit.

A lot of game companies refuse screenshots as proof because they can be tampered with. That said, they can just look at chat logs.

I've had people add me after a terrible game and tell me to commit suicide, or that they were going to find me at my house and kill me. Damn right I sent in a ticket for each one.

What I don't get is why people accept these kinds of friend requests. I only accept them from people who showed very positive things during game. Someone who is mute all game is either (a) chat restricted, or (b) non-communicative. Wouldn't want them on my friends list either way.

I read it somewhere a while ago, but I can't remember where. That said I don't personally know anyone who has done this and received an automated message, so either Riot enjoys personally writing their lies or they actually do follow up on these reports.

I was more referring to the fact that support ticket reports are actually valid, and not so much the pop-up thing. I've seen a few people say support ticket doesn't do anything with reports, screenshot or no.

Those few people are lieing to you. I'll link it if I can find it, but Riot has said multiple times that they accept reports from support tickets, and as I said everyone I know who has sent one in has had theirs accepted by a real person.

If you ask me, they should ip ban him. He'll either have a smurf or 2 for backup already or just make a new account. Real life threats are unacceptable behavior in any game and some even contact local authorities if it's severe enough.
