Fiddlesticks' Identity

Not all that long ago there was this whole thing about Riot and their champion lore. In one of the discussions a Red was asking about certain champions. With Fiddlesticks, his identity has always been something other than his fear passive, his drain, or his CAW CAW CAW-ing. Fiddlesticks was that status effect character. I had an incredibly strong fear and an incredibly annoying silence (and you could look at his passive as a status effect.

Fiddlesticks is supposed to be the "Harbinger of Doom". I would like to see Fiddlesticks get a bit of a makeover and become this Horseman of the Appocalypse-esque character. Reverse Sona isn't a bad way to put it. Of course the abilities and game play I'm still tinkering with in my head- like making his fear an AOE ability that works in a cone in front of him instead of a targeted ability or something like that. I was even trying to think of a decent way to keep his heal and make for interesting game play by having Fidd absorb the status effects of his victims and feeding off of that to heal himself. But I'd like to hear your thoughts on this: am I so far off of Fiddlesticks' identity? what other mechanics could be used to implement this new vision of the Harbinger of Doom?
