Sala'Man, The Serpent Master

LORE/Back story: Growing up in the poorest city in Shurima, Sala'Man was born to have thick skin. His parent's were executed as thieves long ago, their only crime spawned from desperation to feed their eight children. Sala'Man was the oldest, forced to beg and entertain for scraps and coin for his siblings, he too grew desperate for salvation. While scouting for a new spot to beg, Sala'Man was lured by the sound of strange music and buzzing crowd, he digs under the legs of the onlookers for a peek at the commotion.

There he saw an ancient man, maybe more than 100 years old, playing a strange instrument and in front of him, an empty basket. As he played, the crowd grew silent as the basket began to shake, This was the first time Sala'Man ever saw a snake charmer and he too was mesmerized by his abilities, the crowd practically threw money at the man, as he manipulated the snake with nothing but the song from his instrument. The serpent danced and performed tricks, the old man summons another serpent from the basket, and now the two snakes are performing, this went on until there was a total of six serpents performing at once, it was magnificent. At the end, after the crowd dissipates and the snakes returned to the basket, only a sobbing Sala'Man remained, he had wasted the entire day watching the old man and had spent no time begging on the streets, he and his siblings would be hungry another day. The old man approached the young boy.

Old man: Why the tears young one? Sala'Man: I had spent the whole day watching you sir, now me and my brothers and my sisters will have no food to eat at home. Old man: Fortune smiles upon us young one, it so happens that me and my serpent friends have plenty of coin for food, but no shelter for rest. Perhaps you and I can work up a deal? yes?

Sala'Man shook his head with agreement, after a few short trips to some night food stalls, he brings the old man to his home. For the first time in several weeks, Sala'Man and his siblings are filled with both joy and food, as his sibling slept, Sala'Man approached the old man as he smokes his pipe outside.

Old man: Why the silence young one? Speak. Sala'Man: Teach me sir. Old man: Teach you? I am no teacher young one, i no nothing about books or words. Sala'Man: Teach me, How to control snakes sir. Old Man: Ah, Now that I can do.

Over several years, Sala'Man would become the Old man's protégé, learning the technique's and skills required to be a master snake charmer, but this was only the beginning of Sala'Man's journey into becoming The Serpent Master.

Appearance: Tall and skinny but toned, dark skinned. Similar vision to the image attached. Barely clothed, head wraps and loin cloths. Inside his head wraps is one snake and wrapped from his waist, to his neck and curled around his entire left arm another snake. He carries a Pungi, a musical instrument that he uses to summon and control his mythical snakes. His body is covered in a variety of snake patterns and tattoos, the most noticible is a large runic snake tattoo visible from his ankle, all the way to his chest and ends at his neck.

Sala'Man attacks his enemies by throwing snake spirits.

Passive - Mithridatism: Sala'man has protected himself against poison's by gradually self-administering non-lethal amounts to himself in his tattoos. Sala'Man has increased 20% tenacity and has duration of DOT effects reduced.

Mechanic: SERPENT SERVANTS: Sala'Man's abilities cause SERPENT SERVANTS to spawn, they last for 3 seconds or until they are in contact with a nearby enemy unit, prioritizing lower HP units. When in contact with an enemy unit, SERPENT SERVANTS deal 15% of Sala'Man's total AP in magic damage each and fear/stun for 0.5 seconds on hit. SERPENT SERVANTS cannot be targeted, but can be removed with AOE damage effects.

Python Grip(Q): Sala'Man's summons a python from his tattoos to strike his enemies. Cost: 100/95/90/85/80 Range: 650 Cooldown: 8 Sala'Man aims at a target area. a python spirit is released and strikes all foes in a line dealing 30/40/50/60/70 + 30% of Sala'Man's AP. If a Champion is hit, a tether is made between Sala'Man and the Champion, the target is Rooted for up to 4 seconds, or until the tether is broken. For each second the target was rooted, spawn x1 SERPENT SERVANT at the Targets location. (up to 4) SERPANT SERVANT if no target is rooted, only x1 SERPENT SERVANT is spawned at Sala'Man's location.

Serpent Call(W): Sala'Man plays a tune on his Pungi and summons an army of snake spirits to attack enemies in front of him. Cost: 120/110/100/90/80 Range: 500 Cooldown: 16/15/14/12/10 Sala'Man channels for 4 seconds (interruptible) and summons a wave of snakes spirits in a cone in front of him. Each wave deals 15/20/30/40/50 + Sala'Man's total AP per tick. Enemy Champions hit will spawn x1 SERPENT SERVANT each wave. Enemies killed this way also lower's the cooldown of this ability by 1 second each.

Cobra Companion(E): Sala'Man summons a serpent companion to aid him in combat. Cost: 90 Range: 200/450 Cooldown: 16/15/14/12/10 First activation: Sala'Man summons a Serpent Spirit to follow him for 12/13/14/15/16 seconds . The serpent companion deal 50% of Sala'Man's AD and Poisons the target for 20% of Sala'Mans AP in DOT for 3 seconds, refreshing with each attack. During it's summon, Sala'Man can recast the ability on to another Champion. After the duration, x2 SERPENT SERVANT are summoned.

Second Activation: Sala'Man targets a Champion, The Serpent Spirit now follows that Target instead. If it is an Allied Champion, They receive Sala'man's AD and his Poison effect for the remaining seconds. If it is an Enemy champion, Enemy Champion receives Sala'man's AD PLUS the poison effect as if they are being attacked by Sala'man for the remaining seconds. After the duration, only x1 SERPENT SERVANT is summoned.

Sylandra, Queen Python(R): Sala'Man becomes a portal that opens to summon Sylandra, the Queen Python. Cost: 100/120/140 Range: 400 Cooldown: 90 After a 0.5 second delay, Sala'Man creates a large area on the ground and summons Sylandra. Starting from his right, she will go around the area, knocking enemy's toward the center by 150 units that make First contact with her, and surround's the area after 2.5 seconds. once fully around she pulls enemy's to the center dealing 150/250/350 + Sala'Man's AP in magic damage. Enemies killed this way will summon a SERPENT SERVANT, x1 for minion/monsters, x2 for Champions.

FAQ: Both his Q and his W can be canceled with silence and/or stun. (displacements work as well) His Q and his E can be cleansed off. Silence or Cleanse will not remove the E effect on enemies. E does not disappear if Sala'Man dies. The R is considered terrain when it spawns, and follows Terrain rules. E does not give on-hit effects, example: lifesteal, Rylais etc. his R can be interupted from stuns, silences and displacements, this will count as a cancel, with a reduced timer. E on an ally follows the allies attack speed, E on an Enemy follows Sala'Man's attack speed. his Q is similar to Karma tether, he can move around, but can't attack cast abilities. W calculation works like this (3 waves hits 3 Champions, total 9 SERPENT SERVANTS are spawned, 3 each wave)

Animations: Recall: I picture him seated on the ground, legs crossed, playing his pugni with his head warp on the ground, and as he plays the spirit snake inside appears and swallows him back into the fountain. Death: He falls to his kness and lays flat on the ground, his snakes leave his motionless body and scatter away. Dance: Some sort of bollywood dance? or traditional Indian dance?

Skins: Bollywood Sala'Man for sure Candy man Sala'Man? Gummy worm snakes? Deep Forest Sala'Man, druid style, longer beard, animal skin wraps Void Caller Sala'Man

Notes: The name Sala'man was just a short cut to Salamander. His appearance resembles Dalsim from street fighter meets Ghandi He would speak in riddles or poem, example "A snake that is twice as long, Eats twice as much" or something of the sorts. Originally he was a Lion tamer type woman, who had different animals and a different passive for each animal. Replaced again to become a Ringmaster debonair man, but was to similar to a Nasus skin. In the end, went with a rare minority type character, which League needs more of in my opinion. He has a slimmer figure than lee sin and where almost less clothes too. Beneath his head wraps he is bald. Sala'man is vegetarian.

Allegiance: Runeterra / Independent

Allies: Cassiopeia like he worships her, as a God, Deity or a Lover (plus she's snake ;)) Alistar same thing worships him, as a God, Deity and a friend.

Enemies: Ahri Anivia Sejuani Teemo All above are common snake predators: Large birds, wild boars, foxes and raccoons (get it?)
