Backstory:
I had awoken with a painful headache, no memory of what happend or where I was, all I remember was a large... Thing, I was leading my people into a, vortex? Yes... I remember that much, I was the leader of a tribe, heading us all into the vortex, then we were attacked by the thing...
When the rhytmic throbbing in my head calmed down a bit, I decided to take a quick look around my surroundings to see where I was. I couldn't make out any details given how thick the fog was, though I did see a river stream, while it's color was not appetizing, I decided to drink from it, in hopes that it would help clear my mind. I had put my hands into the water to grab a drink from it when the realzation struck me.
"Wait, when could I use my hands to drink?"
"WAIT, when did I have hands?!"
"WAIT! WHEN COULD I THINK THIS CLEARLY?!"
Once again the rhytmic pain in my brain began it's thumping once more, my tribe, no... My race, did not look like this at all, we were much bulkier and slower in frame, and the other races did not even know much of our existence as we , in large numbers, hunted at night. Or at least as night as it could in the Void... The Void... So that is where I am from?
The headache went away again as I was able to think cleary once more, if I truly am from the Void, then what is this place? Where are my people? How come I look nothing like my original form? As I contimplated over my thoughts by the river bank, I was distracted by a faint glow, a lantern as I now know. And from that glow came the first person I met, the gravedigger of this land as I am now aware, but at that moment I knew him as, answers.
As he slowly stopped at where I was I was able to get a closer look at him, what I thought of as an oar was infact a shovel, and as he merly asked if I required a ride, not knowing where else to go, I simply accepted. As we traveled down the stream we began I began to ask him about this place, and his respones was what stuck me hard.
This place I was in was known as the Shadow Isles, the land of the undead, and he was the man who carried the dead souls to and fro. Which intern ment I was as well dead. But with that lead even more questions, for how did I die? And if I am trully dead, how come my body is not what I recall how the rest of my race looked. I asked if there was anyone he could take me to who could answer these questions, alas he shook his head. Saddened, I thanked him for giving me both the ride and answering some of my questions, though in reality he had left me with even more.
Soon we had reached the end of the line, and I once again thanked him for the ride as I got off, he nodded his head and paddled off into the fog. I still am perplexed at why he uses his shovel as an oar, but the pain in my skull began once more, this time however, I wanted to try and focus on something. "How did I die?" was all I was thinking as the agonizing beat in my skull grew louder, soon memories from before stirred once again, our people were disappearing, at first we were didn't notice as the darkness of the void can only allow so much to be seen, but then the death rate grew at an alarming rate. To the point were it was either to leave or face extinction, so as we began our march to find a new home, when we had caught word of beings from other tribes leaving the void into a new world through vortexes that appeared sporatically. Naturally that was where we needed to go to where the next one would have been at, we were almost there when...
The thing attacked, to describe it I still cannot fully do so, it was was a large, bird creature, in one hand it wielded a staff that was raddiating with the powers of the Void, the rest of it did not have the same power coming from it. If only I had known that before we had tried to defend ourselves, as we charged head on towards the beast it merly smirked as it slaughtered us by the dozens. Enraged, I went charging towards the demon, my rage however was my downfall, for while I thought I had caught him off guard he had impaled his staff into my chest, the pain was unbearable as I slowly felt my life fading away. That was when I started to slowly black out, but I do remember walking through the vortex, and... I still had the staff impaled in me as I walked through.
With the pains going away, I now knew the cause of my death, but I did not know of what happend to such a weapon, and what of my people and the beast? But as I thought of the weapon, something stirred inside of me, it was a burning feeling inside of my chest, which when I looked at it, had the appearance of a one of my people, mouth streched open as if we were about to pierce into the flesh of a new kill. As if by instict, I reached into the mouth and was able to grab hold of something, as I began to pull upon it I began to realize just what it was, twas the very staff that ended my life. Void energy still cracklin though it, bat-like wings folded around a large eye that occasionally blinked.
With this in my hands I began to ponder something, could this have been the power the beast had? Is this why it irradiates with so much energy? Were my people able to kill the monstrosity? Those questions were answered that day, as the dark shadow that floated above me had answered them. The beast was alive, most likely in pursuit of his staff after I had exited the Void with it, I knew wanted, but without it's staff I fear it no more. For punishment I decided to chase it off with the very powers it used to tried to kill me people. And while I was unable to trully punish it that day, I know realize what happends, the mixture of the staffs energy and the islands power of reanimating the dead had caused my corpse to mutate into the new form before I had regained sentience of it. And I also know what I must do with this new form...
The Void is harsh to my people, our numbers were low upon my death, and I fear they are still crippled, I shall free them from that cursed dimension and bring them to this new world for salvation. For many, death is but the end, but for me, it showed me my purpose. And those who shall stand in my way shall know the true power or me, Sor'Ver!
Upon Selection: I shall releash my people
Moving:
I understand
Both the shadows and the void course through my veins
I would much prefer to rest than fight in the daylight
This light it... Is not that bad actually
Attacking:
You won't be remembered
Have at ye!
Fall like the monster that fell my people!
Taste my power!
Taunts:
Sor'Ver lets go of his staff and crosses his arms, shaking his head in disgust, during this the staff opens it's wings and starts flying in place, he then reaches his hand out and the staff folds it's wings back up as it slides back into his hands
My people killed stronger beast than you in their sleep, so I shall have no trouble doing it right in front of you
You can't kill the void or that which is already dead, now your dealing with both of them in one!
Help me free my people from our cursed homeworld, or prepare to face my wrath
Taunting Sion:
Let me guess, the big brute wishes to fight? Of course he does!
My my my, with such a big axe you sure are carrying a little brain!
Taunting Vel'Koz:
Tell me Vel'Koz, could you assist in freeing my people? No? Then you have no use to me...
If you knew so much, then how come you did not help our people in our time of need Vel?
Taunting Swain:
How can transform into... That?
What... ARE you?
Jokes:
My people wish only to live a fresh new life in this world, and also eat your childred when your asleep.
Hmm... How to explain to my entire race I was killed, mutated by void energy, and brought back to life? This will be harder than I thought.
