Passive: Yorick can target the bodies of fallen champions and bury them, placing a headstone on the site of their death. Burying an ally will reduce the death timer by 5/10/15 seconds, while burying an enemy Yorick assisted with/killed will give Yorick a stack of Strong Spirit. Burying a body Yorick didn't help with grants him (40 + [character level x 3]) bonus gold.

  • Burying a body takes time. Yorick will be rooted for 2.5 seconds every time he buries a body.
  • You can have a maximum of 5 Strong Spirit stacks at once and you lose up to 3 upon dying.

You can trade in these stacks at the merchant, permanently powering up your ghouls:

  • Three stacks of Strong Spirit gives all your ghouls 50% of Yorick's max HP as bonus HP. This causes them to swell up in appearance and walk 20% more slowly. Upon death, Yorick's ghouls will explode, dealing 35% of their total HP as magic damage.
  • Two stacks of Strong Spirit gives your ghouls bonus range for their AA. Each hit deals 20% more damage as a DoT over 3 seconds, and enemies hit are slowed by 20% for the duration of the DoT.

  • (Ult only) Five stacks of Strong Spirit allows you to revive one ally as a ghost at a nearby target Grave Marker. This ally benefits from any other abilities gained through trading in Strong Spirit stacks, but otherwise retains their original stats and equipment for the duration. Dying as a champion ghoul will reset your death timer but won't count as a death otherwise. Killing champion ghouls counts as a champion kill towards items/abilities that benefit from them, but doesn't give gold, experience, or count as a kill towards the tally like normal champion kills do.

Q: Yorick strikes the earth in front of him with his shovel dealing physical damage to enemies hit and weakening the ground. Every second strike with this skill creates a hidden pitfall that slows the first enemy champion who falls into it by 85% and all additional enemy champions by 55%. This slow decays over 1.5 seconds.

  1. Pitfalls last for five seconds before being filled up (once activated).
  2. Weakened ground/pitfalls return to normal/fill up after three minutes.
  3. Only two pitfalls may be placed at once.
  • Striking a Grave Marker will crack it and dig up a ghoul. Ghouls gain 15%/20%/25%/30%/35% of the stats the owner of the grave had when they died. Ghouls don't deteriorate but you can only have up to three at once.
  • Headstones break after three ghouls are summoned from that headstone.
  • Digging up a fourth ghoul causes the one with the lowest health to die automatically.

  • Ghouls can't regenerate their health through lifesteal.

  • You can control them using alt+right click and are always melee unless you upgraded them through Strong Spirit stacks.

  • All ghouls will have a portrait of the champion whose gravestone they came from.

W: Passive: The attacks of Yorick's ghouls heal him for 20% of the damage they deal. W: Active: Yorick sacrifices 5%/10%/15%/20%/25% of his health to heal his ghouls for all the health sacrificed.

E: Yorick lunges forward with his shovel, dealing bonus physical damage and on-hit effects in a line in front of him. If ghouls are in range, they're knocked forward as well, going through any enemy champions and dealing bonus AP damage. This skill can crack headstones as well, summoning additional ghouls.

R: Yorick strikes the ground with all his might, dealing Aoe physical damage and cracking all the grave markers nearby him in a large radius. For the next 180 seconds (or until all headstones are broken), ghouls will spawn up nearby Yorick equal to the number of grave markers nearby before going on cooldown. These ghouls gain 65% of the stats the owner of the grave had and deal all on-hit effects they could deal at the time of death. Ghouls summoned this way deteriorate over 90 seconds once summoned. Ghouls already on the map are fully healed when Yorick uses this spell and receive 35% reduced damage for the duration. There will be a visual difference between ghouls summoned through other abilities and ghouls summoned via Yorick's ult.

If you purchased the ally revive, Yorick will be capable of choosing an ally champion (who is currently dead) to revive as a champion ghoul at the nearest Grave Marker.

  1. Allies controlling the champion ghoul will have all their champion's current abilities and actives available for sixty seconds
  2. Allies who die will have their death timer reset, but won't have the death count against them (but will give enemies a stack should it be applicable)
  3. An ally's death timer will run beside the duration of the champion ghoul. Should the death timer run out before the champion ghoul duration, the player controlling the champion ghoul will spawn at the fountain as soon as his control expires.

This is pretty cool.

Just for clarification, do gravemarkers only appear where you bury a champion or are there also random gravemarkers which spawn that you can dig up.

As for spirit upgrades are there only 3? or are there multiple upgrades one can buy otherwise you can pretty easy grab up a few upgrades with an early kill not sure how this will work balance wise.

Also what happens when you dig up Sion as he is already a zombie/ghoul

I really like this idea. The W is cool, I like the E, and the Q is pretty cool too. I think he should passively spawn gravemarkers every minute or so. Otherwisee early game he can't spawn any ghouls, making him very weak. His W would be useless and his E would be weakened. Its unlikely that Yorick would be close enough to a champion corspe in time to burry it. Nice Idea tho, I really like it!

Maybe you wanna look at my concepts, my favorites are: Katyani, Arbiter of the Precepice Gundari Avatar of the Fire King Murdok, the Grim Reeler (Champion Revival).

I up-voted your concept because I think it's a great Idea. Very detailed and well put together I must say. Here's my 2 cents on your ghouls theory. I think Yorick should be able to dig up BASIC Ghouls from random Minion deaths of maybe just if they're last-hitted. Then, spawn more powerful Ghouls from ENEMY Champion deaths, while being only able to BURY Allies, giving them a shorter revive. I say that because I think having the ability to spawn Ghouls from Champions only would have a player lacking a big in team fights, but if you were able to spawn little ghouls, then take further advantage from Champion kills... then it would give Yorick this snowballing team fight effect, which would be pretty cool.

Also, I feel as if 2.5 seconds for Burying an ally is a little too long. But only during a fight. If he only took the time to bury them outside of team fights I guess its ok, but it's only my opinion.

•"Burying a body takes time. Yorick will be rooted for 2.5 seconds every time he buries a body." Too punishing should be a channel like Skarner capturing his crystals.

Q Idea: "Every second strike with this skill creates a hidden pitfall" What about every second strike in the same general spot with this skill creates a hidden pitfall

Idea for Passive, im not suggesting it over your current passive cause I like a lot, but I just want to get this idea out there Passive: Organic Legacy

Yorick's spells and AA build Organic Legacy stacks on enemy units (pets, minions, Champions). The third spell or AA hit consumes the stacks and places a debuff on the affected target, marking them for Organic Reconstruction.

If Yorick lands the killing blow on an enemy with an Organic Reconstruction debuff, a (for the purpose of working with your kit) gravestone could be what is constructed, or that body would just be available to bury (and from there your kit would take over).

(In this passive's original wording) Once a Organic Reconstruction target is killed a ghoul will be constructed in the spot that the unit was killed. This unit will operate like a mini tower and will AA any enemy units in its range prioritizing enemy champions. This ghoul has the same stats and amount of health as what it died from and can be targeted by enemy units. But when Yorick is not within 2000 units of this unit it will lose all its armor and magic resist. Enemies killed by the ghoul grant Yorick gold and XP.
