Please don't let Piltover wait 4 years again

Between the releases of Vi (2012) and Camille (2016), there have been 4 years without any new Piltover champions. Considering that Piltover still has a really small champion pool (just 7 champions in total) and there isn't a single Piltovian with support as its intended main role...

I beg you, don't let us wait so long again for another Piltover champion.

Please comment every Piltover champion archetype you would like to see in the game to give some ideas.

Piltover doesnt really exist anymore though, didnt you read the Ziggs comic? Its basically just Zaun 2.0. "were the city of progress but also super racist so much so that we make a pair of mad bombers look like the good guys of our story"

How is Piltover racist in any shape or form? I don't remember anything like that in the slightest. Unless you consider Zaunites a different "race" than Piltovians, which they actually aren't.

You could say that Piltover tends to classism, they think they stand above the poor Zaunites because of their wealth. But the Piltovian champions don't really represent it that much either. Camille and maybe Jayce and Ezreal can be seen that way, but Caitlyn, Vi, Heimerdinger, and Orianna really aren't.

And this is actually even more reason to get another Piltover champion, to show us the more likable sides of it again. :)

Ah, so that is what you are referencing.

Technically, you can say that just some Piltovians are racist. You know, like literally in every other place in the world... ever. There will always be racists, no matter how highly advanced your society is. In the same comic is already a counter example. One child comments Ziggs with "It's just a cute, fuzzy thing!".

Just because some people in this comic reacted like that you can't come to the conclusion that the entire city Piltover is racist. That's like when I am saying "I saw a video with a racist American, so entire America is extremely racist!". Seems like you don't like what they made out of Piltover, or maybe Piltover in general.

youre right i dont like what they made of Piltover or any of the lore reworks. Theyre trying to make LoL of all things into a gritty grimdark world

But hey, it's not that hard. Give him his VGU, make him look like an actual yordle, upgrade his roflcopter into something less ridiculous and more awesome, have his lore being a yordle hidden in the high ranks of Piltovers air force. There, done. [sg-ahri-2]

Corki doesn't make sense in current RuneTerra. Why is a yordle patrolling Piltover, his helicopter doesn't match the technology level, and he doesn't fit yordle lore.

BUT he's a pro play staple since ever and has one of the first eSports skins, although his fanbase has been absorbed into other ADC/mages. So Riot may be looking into ways to make Corki fit modern lore before making huge Piltover changes. They may be avoiding a new champion until they settle on a direction for him. Or... they could just not have good ideas. Piltover doesn't have any bad guys to make heroes or an alignment stance to reverse for no (good, literary) reason.

Oh yes they do, they already did it for Heimerdinger (turning him form the most prolific and generous inventor of all Runeterra to a sociopath who would abandon his friends and let his village be murdered because he was busy doing nothing) and Ziggs (turning him from a genius who got a top seat in Heimers college which also doesnt exist anymore due to aforementioned racism into another sociopath who blows up buildings for fun but its OK because he doesnt kill people)

Seriously Heimers title is "The Revered Inventor" but who reveres him anymore? Before he invented the lightbulb and hundreds of other things that make peoples lives better, now hes made his weapons he uses in League (which his turret isnt even a successful invention as it was supposed to be a ball machine) and a spell, A SPELL WHAT, to make Yordles look like humans.

They just cant touch Jayce or Ezreal because theyre favorites.
