Like, he seems super interesting, in the lore but, in game, the fantasy dies almost instantly and I ask myself: "why is this a champion? Why is he interesting?" It's like riot wanted a hook champ and it happened... but there's no other reason for having him in the lore other than "he was here, so were making him fit in."
Anyone wanna enlighten me? Do you like Blitzcrank? What exactly is interesting about him? Nostalgia? Or something more?
I just re-upped my lore-info on him, since I know they did a rehaul on some. I just don't understand why he is even in the League of Legends. He's basically a glorified Roomba.
Wasn't the lore about Viktor making Blitz and then Vik didn't get credit or something so he turned to augmenting himself? Or did that change with the new lore...?
But anyway, yeah, Blitz doesn't really have a "fantasy" fulfilled... Besides the fantasy of pulling someone and gibbing them. But that isn't a lore-to-game fantasy. I don't like going against him, and I don't really like playing as him because I feel like if I miss my hook I don't give anything else, unlike Leona, Naut, Thresh, even Pyke. I'm sure when they made him as part of the first set of champions, that's probably what they were thinking and steam golem sounded like a cool thing to have... Except now he has more electricity than steam in his effects.
So... maybe after a couple VGU's he'd be eligible for something?
blitz is actually pretty cool playing him is like playing malphite you feel POWERFUL
I enjoy him. He's a simple to play support for when I get autofilled support.

I absolutely love this song's take on Blitzcrank and Orianna. The first few lines perfectly describe what Blitzcrank feels like in game though lol.
I think his immense pressure for just being there is cool :-) Also when you have a good Blitzcrank game you feel really good :D
To be fair, I said as a character (not as a champion.) A lot of the responses from people who do like him say hardly anything about him as a character in the plot ---they just like the champ.
Definitely not a lore character.
