Silver Kayle - recolor, not for sale Viridian Kayle - 520 recolor Unmasked Kayle - not for sale Battleborn Kayle - the only 975 option, it's silver kayle meets unmasked Kayle (I have this one and like it) Judgement Kayle - not for sale, probably her most unique looking skin aside from Aetherwing Aetherwing Kayle - expensive. It's nice, but it isn't going on sale so the average kayle fan will be less likely to get it. Riot Kayle - won't be sold

So of the 7 Kayle skins that were made for her, 3 are on sale. One's a 520, one's expensive, and only one is in the standard price tier. Of the 4 not on sale now, one's probably never going to be released for sale again (the one I want) and one requires you to spend waaay too much money to travel to a bloody convention.

Frankly, I think this post needs a refocus...If a skin is not available a majority of the time, it does not exist as far as I'm concerned. There is literally zero reason for any skin to be unavailable except the Victorious skins, and frankly I disagree with making them in the first place. Summoner icons and frames are more than enough to indicate when you got whatever rank you got. Skins are overkill. As far as Kayle specifically, her Viridian skin isn't even a full recolor. Somehow, it makes sense that even when all the rest of her is...viridian, her flames are still orange. Because logic, right there. Her aether skin is nice, expensive, but....A sci-fi skin for a chick with a sword nad magical flames......Not sure where that idea came from, but I don't get it. Battleborn Kayle, IMHO is basically Viking. Not bad, but then you see...Silver kayle? Better than all three that are available. Unmasked? The same. And most obviously.... JUDGEMENT KAYLE, the most awesome looking skin for her, both in splash and in game. But it's not available, because it's a genius idea to have a high demand product and announce that you'll never, ever sell it. Ever.

TL; DR? Riot needs to make EVERY skin available or remove it from the game. Period. Even the Victorious line. Summoner Icons and Frames are more than enough to announce your Victory, leave skins out of it.

Besides, what if you win a skin, but...You don't like that champion? "Oh, I won Victorious Elise.....But I hate spiders. And jungling. Well this is useless now...." An Icon or Frame would make EVERYBODY happy though. And be much easier to make, frankly.

You said you have battleborn kayle and like it so why do you complain?

Also, 7 skins is a good amount of skins when you think about all the champions which have only 1 skin.

I'm making a point that needs to be made: her options in the store right now are extremely limited and this new skin isn't going to help most of her fans out.

What if you were a fan of those one skin champs who was looking for a new skin and the only new skin that riot produced for your champ isn't something you can get in the store.

Except you do have options. You have low, mid and high cost skins available for Kayle. I'm sorry if you don't feel that's enough.

She could be a champion with only two skins total and one truly could never be purchased in the store.

Yes, she's one of the champs who need another skin. However she also has that dual body type which makes her more work.

If they know that she's going to be more work, why not make her second skin available?

I've no issue with the slow release on skins... I just would like to have a choice as she's now officially had her second skin... but practically she has one.

A Riot Elise would at least have been purchasable in the store for a short time, unlike her existing second skin.

Elise's second skin is a championship skin. It is reserved for people who got gold last season. The riot skins are police themed so it's not something they can just rename.

I'm aware of Elise having a Victorious skin, and the qualifications to get it. (If you want to talk the issue of championship skins, look at Thresh whose second skin is also unavailable - but at least it was for sale once.)

And as I do not play ranked... a skin that is gotten only by playing ranked is unobtainable. (I did try... I finished my placement matches Silver 3 with two days until the deadline... In those two days I got to silver 1... but alas, more than one tier a day was too much of a challenge for me.)

However, if they had made her a Riot skin, instead of Victorious, there would have been an opportunity to purchase another option for an Elise skin. (Do I know how they'd implement spider lady into a Riot skin? No.)

Your complaint is about the availability of Riot skins in relation to Kayle, yes? ANYBODY can buy a Riot skin. NOBODY can buy a Victorious skin. Be happy that Kayle is getting another skin that can be purchased in the store.

And yes, you will be able to purchase Riot Kayle. Riot puts the new and retiring Riot skins on sale when they cycle in a new one. It's a short time and only has two opportunities, but it does become available for everybody.

Not many people know this, but when a gift skin is sent, it pulls from EVERY skin that has been in the store. It is how I got Unmasked Kayle, how my friend got Happy Elf Teemo. So really there is no skin that can not be gotten (expect maybe for Victorious Skins... I don't know about them) through gifts. In fact, thats why I sunk $35 in two days getting those self-buy skin gifts. (It paid off by my getting Spirit Guard Udyr)

Only skins that are available in the store at some point, including legacy skins. Skins gotten somehow special are not given through mystery gifting. (Though early on there were some bugs).

This means the Victorious line is not accessible. Nor are PAX skins, Championship Riven, CE skins or a number of misc skins (Medieval Twitch, Triumphant Ryze, Judgement Kayle, etc.)

Riot Kayle will go on sale. Riot skins go on sale when it is first released and when it is retired.

It's a short window to purchase, but it's still available.

And unmasked goes on sale periodically. It's not like you can't get it like Judgement and Silver.

(That aside, Viridian Kayle is my favorite skin for her tbh...)

I wouldn't say Riot has any sort of "backhanded hatred". There are legacy skins/recolors because she's old and her early skins weren't up to par. Her two truly limited edition skins exist because... she's one of the original 40 champions and they wanted something special but had a relatively small champion pool at the time. She has a legendary skin - which is still a rarity in champions. That aside... Since I've been playing (late season 2) she'll have had two new skins. That's a whole lotta love compared to a lot of champions who have still yet to receive a single skin since I started playing.

They were running surveys for recolored skins. So they might just move Silver and Viridian, possibly Unmasked Kayle, into that category; they would lower the price since the new type of skin tier is said to be lower than the lowest 520rp price, possibly refunding those who spent money on these recolors.
