I found this little gem recently

and it got me wondering if Riot had any plans for a visual update to Riven.

I understand shes not in dire need but there are still alot of things that stand out on the current BASE riven model mainly the textures . Rivens sandal straps and her clothing hasnt aged well in the slightest over the years not only that but also think her hair could be alot more profound in its coloration( I understand shes basically a hobo errr traveler but her hair looks a bit too dusty imo and im sure she can afford to take quick baths at local inn or waterfalls.).

What do you guys think? Would this be a good model update for Riven? If Riven were to have an updated model what would you like to see enhanced or included?

This should be done after malphite's player model makes it so his head isn't his nose

many champions still need new models but there are some that need them a lot more than riven like jax, morgana, kayle, urgot ,evelyn , shaco, udyr etc

Riven's model is functional and doesn't contrast with the rest of the game's art style, not in the way that antiquated models like Urgot, Pantheon, Mordekaiser, Shaco, Teemo, Evelynn, Jax, Akali, Cho'gath, Blitzcrank, Corki, Fiddlesticks, Gragas, Irelia, Kennen, Morgana, Olaf, and Udyr do. All the models listed above have severely outdated rigging and animations, and most are lucky if they have round feet and knees. Kennen doesn't even have his weapon in hand when he switches from moving to standing still, it just awkwardly floats from one area to the next.

Could Riven use a VU? Of course.

However, like what the others have said - there are much more champions that need a VU more urgently than her. Riven's model could easily be substituted with a texture update; however, champions along the lines of Kennen, Akali, Jax, Morgana, Teemo, Malphite and more just have models that clearly show their age.

Despite all of what I said, the model sheet you placed in your post look excellent and I'd love to see Riven's model match up to it or even better in the near future!

Riven's default in-game model has really dark skin in comparison to all her other ones, where she's just white. It's kind of weird. I guess she got a really deep tan?

Also, look at her left leg on the 2nd picture. WTF is going on there?

But yeah, that non-official model is pretty sweet looking.
