  • faction - Entropia

  • age - 28

  • Class - Mage

  • SubClass - Battle Mage

  • Duality theme - AP and AD

backstory

Xerox is a mage that specializes in combining mirror magic with hextech machines, utilizing his and his enemies' powers to great extents, he also sees balance in all things no mater how contradictory to each other some things are, and wishes to bring said balance to the world, his first step for this goal? unifying Materia and Kratorra into one nation

Abilities

P - Hextech Energy Converter

  • Xerox's Hextech Mirror Mage Battle Robes grant him two resource bars, mana and Mirror Matter, whenever Xerox takes damage, 70% (+20% AD) of that damage is converted to Mirror Matter, upon reaching 100% Mirror Matter his abilities use up Mirror Matter instead of Mana and heal him for 40% (+20% AP) of the Mirror Matter spent, Mana Capacity increasing Items increase Mirror Matter capacity instead

Q - Silver Light

  • Xerox Casts a blast of silver light in a 80 degree cone, dealing 55/70/85/105/120 physical damage (+65% AP) to all enemy units and applying a burn that deals 25 physical damage per tic, ticking every 0.5 seconds for 4 seconds

note - in Duality Mode the Dot scales off 20% AD

W - Mirror Image

  • Xerox chooses a target and magically copies their ability with the highest AP Ratio (not including Ults unless its Udyr), if the enemy does not have any AP Ratios then it copies the ability with the highest AD Ratio, also copies mana costs and cool down, if target is Azir or Orianna it does flat 80 Magic Damage damage with their highest AP ratio instead

note - in duality mode this ability is replaced with an ability that creates 2 damageless clones (like leblanc pre-rework passive)

E - Hextech Looking Glass

  • while out of combat Xerox holds up to two charges, when cast places a Magic mirror at the chosen location and grans vision (max 2 active mirrors) , mirror have 6 health, they take 2 damage (3 hits) from ranged champions and 3 from melee (2 hits), once in combat activating this ability shoots out a projectile in a line dealing 80 (+70% AP) Physical damage piercing through minions and stopping on the first champion hit slowing them, near by magic mirrors also shoot the projectile in the cursor's direction, the damage from multiple projectiles dont stack but the slow does

note - in duality mode the projectiles gain a bigger hit box

R - Duality

  • Passively - Xerox gains 3 AD per level

  • Xerox powers up his Hextech Mirror Mage Battle Robes granting himself 100/150/200 bonus HP, 60 Armor, 60 Magic resist, auto attacks deal a bonus 40% AD and 60% AP on hit, but loses 15% movement Speed and becomes Melee until death

I love the idea of a dual resource bar, that is really cool! Although I feel like his Mirror Matter filling up from taking damage could be problematic, he is a mage type class overall and while his ult does give him a nice form of damage reduction, mages should always try to avoid damage in team fights. While I do think the passive would work well during the lanning phase, later on in team fights you would not utilize the full effect of the passive. Overall a great concept though, maybe trying to find a different way to fill his Mirror Matter would be better.

His Silver Light ability I think thematically you hit the mark perfectly! I love the idea of doing physical damage while scaling off of AP, this idea fits very well for the champion concept. Overall great ability, one thing I would change would be the DoT to do magic damage instead of physical, would just fit the idea of doing light damage to someone, similar to how lux does magic damage with her light.

Yes! Finally! I have been waiting for a spell steal ability for years! I have always loved the character Rubic from Dota 2 as a spell stealer and I think this concept would be a great addition to League. I feel like the only problem with this ability is it will always take the highest ratio ability which I think might be a little strong, no matter what you'll always be taking the same ability from the same champion. Me, personally, I would add the random aspect to his Mirror Image, perhaps as you put points into the ability more the higher the chance to steal the highest ratio ability. Overall, love the idea!

Hextech Looking Glass is a cool ability, I like the idea of giving vision. I think I would drop the damage given by the mirrors and change it from a slow to a stun. Overall I like the ability but I feel like their could be more to it.

I like the Ult Duality, thematically fits well and works well with the passive. I feel like the bonus AD could be a little much, to fit better why not give him both a little AD and AP passively, Overall I like the thinking done here, finding a way to make the ult work with the passive is good, but as stated earlier I think more could be done with how Mirror Matter fills up.

Overall I love the concept here! Xerox could be a really cool addition to the game, a really cool hybrid style battlemage would, in my opinion, be fun to play! Keep up the good work, hope to see more in the future! Cheers [slayer-pantheon-thumbs]

Hi there!

Here is my honest feedback:

Passive: It actually seems pretty dang interesting. I like that he has to use his powers in order to spark his passive. However, I think a few tweaks could make this even better. I think having a general number of spells that he can cast once reaching 100% would be better (depending on level). The healing seems a little too big considering that he has some AoE powers. I think it is nice to have it, but maybe lower it a tad?

Q: I was going to say that was weak... but then I read the full thing. I think it pretty good as it currently is. Not too overbearing, yet not too weak either.

W: I like the concept, yet I think it would be a little weird/op. I know that Lux's R is her highest AP ratio... so I think instead of copying the spell per say, you could instead allow the W to be shield the deflects projectiles back at their caster.

E: I like the concept. The only thing is that slows cannot stack (I learned this yesterday). The largest slow is the one that is applied. Other ones are forgotten.

R: I think the passive is not really needed because you already get AD per level up. You could experiment with this like every point of AD is converted to some AP, or vice versa. I think switching to melee like this is kind of weird. You don't really have gap closers or anything in the kit to allow your concept to catch the enemies.

There you go.

Not the mage of documents?

Sorry I couldn't resist. (For reference Xerox is a business that handles documents, perhaps the name originates from copying or reflections since it makes sense for your character as well).

Anyway, on to feedback. Does mirror matter give him damage reduction? Or does he simply gain 70% of the damage taken as mirror matter? One way is severely overpowered, the other is potentially reasonable.

Q does 320 base damage + 65% AP? that's way too much damage, tone it down there.

W steals an ability from another champion, this creates a need for very in-depth knowledge of other champions in the game. I suspect it may be too much of a burden of knowledge on the player playing Xerox.

E seems cool, but if they're supposed to be mirrors then it might be cooler to allow him to reflect his other abilities off of them, perhaps giving those abilities more range or a new direction.

This is interesting, but how does it fit with the rest of the kit? Looking for synergy here, or a big thematic moment. This ultimate doesn't really speak to his theme, it just turns him into a stat-stick with some tradeoffs.
