@Riot, a suggestion on how to give us more great art AND make League more popular

I have mentioned before that I absolutely love the way Riot, as a company, tries to be a patron of the arts. Music, writing, RP art, fanart - you name it, you guys endorse it like no other company and always show your appreciation to the artist.

The RP art initiative is really cool, but imagine if you took that a step further and start rewarding more than just quick, witty doodles. I believe that every skilled and/or acclaimed artist who makes a League-related artwork that took many hours to paint or model deserves a reward from Riot. Take this picture for example:

This is obviously high quality artwork and it warms the heart of any League player who sees it, instantly winning new fans for the artist. What's important here is that the artist has benefited Riot as a company too -bayardwu is followed by almost 18k people just on deviantart.com. The picture received 20k views, again only on that site (we have no idea where else it has been posted and shared). It's basically free advertisement for League, often coupled with personal recommendation, as obviously a capable person with a solid following has been inspired to devote so much effort to it.

I'm not really an artist, merely a passionate collector of good art. But I believe every fandom owes a lot to great artists and I think our community should take steps to recognize that. So I have the following suggestion: if a player can link their account to a deviantart/cgtalk/artstation etc profile with a solid following and high quality League fanart, they should receive a minor reward from Riot that distinguishes them from other players. The below suggestion is just an example of what this could be.

• Introduce an artist icon and award it to artists specifically
• A gift of some RP is also worth considering
• Jhin, a new, beloved and artsy champion, is ripe for a new skin. Consider making a Painter Jhin skin (not really my area but it would be really cute - big paintbrush instead of gun, fires colour instead of bullets, maybe includes Bob Ross memes) and giving it limited availability. It may or may not be purchaseable for a short period, but it will be awarded for awesome artwork. Maybe artists will be able to gift it to other users. Again I have no idea how to execute this since I have little knowledge of both skin design and marketing, but I feel there is potential in here .

What do you guys think of this idea? I personally drool at the though of all the wonderful new images an initiative like this would usher, but I imagine this idea needs to be criticised and/or perfected. Share your thoughts below.
