Those are all very important issues that are worth me posting numerous threads over and taunting the Riot creative team over.

Get over yourselves. I myself am not a fan of Taliyah because how DARE she defy glorious Noxus. In general her design is just not grimdark enough for my 90s goth wannabe soul but I don't suffer from the illusion that my opinions are the be all and end all, especially when I have plenty of cool Noxian and Shadow Isles, and not to mention Void champs to love.

A few of you seem to think that you are somehow helping Riot by pointing out she has a strange face and even offering to fix it, because you're confident no one will appreciate it.

Need I remind you how global League is and that despite the existence of a Turkish server since 2012 there didn't use to be single champ who looked even remotely Turkish?

Honestly.. she looks really, really cool. I don't see the problem of the eyebrows being too huge or her nose being strange. She looks like a really cute adventurer I'd like to have in my party. Also her voice is nice to listen to. In case I like the way she has to/should be played, this cute splash art surely will be the second argument to use her in some games.

I don't really understand what's going on with the hatred. As if anybody here would be able to tell me that they like EVERY LITTLE PART of themselves. Of course people have facial traits that aren't appreciated by everybody around the world. What do we have? Lips being too thin, big or pointy noses, different eye shapes, whatever.. Just because it isn't part of your beauty standard it should be bad..? Acting as if it is hideous and ugly is just sad. Well, she isn't the normative boobie-champ just being liked because of the appearence (even though they could be so much more..Sona item 3070 ), she seems fun to be with and different. And I'm glad that I've seen her splash art, because it made me smile immediately and hope that maybe even MORE different and interesting champions may join soon. Some tweaks on other champs would be nice too.. Maybe some moustaches on female champs.. I'd actually cherish that! Braum-Modus ACTIVATED. Braum Dayum! :}D

I don't have a problem with her appearance; she just looks like a different character. No problems with that. She's also probably kinda young (maybe late teens I'd guess).

I don't understand the hate--even if she's not got the conventional dollface that every female is inexplicably expected to have. Variety is good, and character is important to good lore and good development. If every female character is defined as a seductive, sexy dollface that is sexy and seductive, character development becomes stale. Look at the old American comic book industry and why it came to a near-collapse. The industry was oversaturated with giving readers more and more of the exact same thing. Virtually every female face was drawn the same with the same body and same character traits revolving around being sexy. Virtually every male was some detail-overload, muscle-bound do-gooder or "bad boy". The exact same crap over and over--people got sick of it! I think putting character and genuine personality( GENUINE. meaning you can't just lazily attatch the personality label of "loves to show off her sexy body" to justify mostly nude female characters everywhere in lieu of actually trying to develop those characters) as a priority in the lore really gives a lot of heart to the game. It's one thing we can all appreciate when done well, even if the balance state of the actual game is constantly tumultuous.

Think of the stories that really captivated people, like The Last Airbender. No one was complaining that Aang or Toph weren't complete hotties. Because, well, they were children, but also because a good story and captivating characters don't need to rely on superficial qualities. If we want to start seeing and having videogames be seen as an art form, maybe we should stop being such little shits when artists wasnt to deviate from the cutout-doll norms. Even if Taliyah isn't "conventionally beautiful", as with illaoi, there are many who still find her so. So why would we need to buckle to one single definition of beauty in such a strict sense? It's not justifiable.
