[CCOS] Call for judges and feedback

Hey all!

Just as reminder, the February [CCOS] will be starting this Monday! From then until noon EST on the 16th I'll be taking entries, as well as judge applications!

If you're at all interested at being a judge in this month's [CCOS] e-mail me at '[email protected]' with your IGN (in-game username) and I'll be happy to answer any questions you may have as well as walk you through it.

As a quick summary, as a judge, you'll be judging ~ 30 champion concepts for five categories: Lore, Kit, Originality, Effort and the month's Bonus Category. You need:

  • a genuine interest in champion concepts
  • enough in-game knowledge to be able to know if something is over/underpowered
  • the ability to keep a secret for two weeks
  • a willingness to give and take criticism.

This is a purely voluntary role, so if something comes up during it and you have to back out, you are always welcome to. While in that case I will not be able to use your scores, I will not at all hold it against you. That being said those who do get through the entire gauntlet will have my genuine thanks and will be accredited for that month. Judging is the most reliable way of getting your name in the results! Not to mention being super helpful to anyone and everyone you give feedback to!

If you don't have the time to be a judge but still want to to help out you can do so by telling me where I can improve! I always seek to tweak the contest here and there, as well as correct mistakes I know I had along the way. So whether you're an entrant or just a witness tell me your criticism and ideas!

Have you announced the theme yet? Or will this be done when the contest starts? Either way, I'm in.

Bonus category has not been announced yet, but don't worry I always make it something that can be easily tacked onto a concept after-the-fact. To give you a hint, it'll involve a little teamwork! ^_^

Teamwork...Shoot, I meant I was in for being a judge, but I have an epic concept that may fit well with the theme O_O ,

I still feel bad that i wasn't able to 'do it' last month, but i would like to join this months CCOS with a concept, can you tell me how can i enter? :))

Entries are not up yet currently. I'll be putting up a post on the 9th at noon EST calling for entries, once that's up, just provide a link to your concept post (posted here on the Boards) and I'll get you in! Just make sure your concept was posted during this month of February.

that being said, here's something for your snake idea:

"IV - 3 Years. The Battle of the Serpent. A Blue Flame leviathan is goaded to the surface by a serpent caller to face the Harrowing. The Black Mist is dispersed before it reaches Bilgewater, but the giant from the depths is slain in the process."

Teamwork? I have a great champion concept that is centered around teamwork. The teamwork between a champion and a (permanent) pet:

A few things for you to understand:

  1. This is a community run contest. No Rioters are involved with this and as such I have literally no say what's put into the game. This is all for the fun of making a concept. Overarchingly as well, unless you are hired by Riot you will not have a champion put into the game.

  2. If you would like to enter a concept into the contest anyway, then make sure to give a link to the concept in the entry post. Which will be up this m Monday as I mentioned. Note, however, this concept will not be taken as it was posted 2 months ago. You're welcome to make another one and enter it next week.

  3. If you would like someone to look at something, at least make it apparent you've read the OP itself, or else you simply stand to insult the person you're commenting to.

I did make it apparent though! I talked through the details and everything, and I thought I would do an ironic spin on the topic I was addressing. Still can't wait for this though!
