Legitimate petition to revert Ahri Splash art

Now, waay back when the splash art for Ahri was updated on PBe, there was a ton of backslash and people wanted it to not be reverted. Rito, of course honored our wishes by reverting it to the old one.

There were numerous complaints but, the majority was that Ahri was fine. Now, All of a sudden they change it.

I honestly think if the artist could find an intermediary between the appeal of the of the old splash and the polish of the new one, it would be okay.

It's mainly her face that's bugging me in the new one. The glow of her eyes and loads of shadows give her a very "unnerving" vibe. It's hard for me to believe she enticed anyone lore-wise looking that creepy.

I'm with you on this one. I don't particularly care for the old one's lack of polish but the new one doesn't sit right with me either her champion portrait makes her look far too menacing now.

Personally, I feel the new one misses the mark on her character. One of the most interesting facts about Ahri to me was the moral dilemma she ran head first into by becoming more and more human. She isn't a "sexy life stealing fox lady", but an animal slowly becoming human and regretting the sins that brought her this far. Her old splash seems to have captured that feeling, the idea that she feels truly remorseful about the lives she takes while also happy to have come this far at all.

Strangely, I guess the new splash actually makes her seem less human to me, and therefore not actually herself.

Probably takes place more during the process of her gaining more human emotions. Like this is her in the early stages.

It's okay league wants to get rid of the iconic art that brought A LOT of players and kept them, including me. lmfao she looks like a sickly witch now, I always saw her as elegant and beautiful not creepy, messy, and sick. Please revert Riot... get the artist who did Challenger to do this one if anything :( or keep the beautiful old one and just make it up to the new splash art standards.

The sole problem of the splash art is the perspective... she needs a frontal shot like she had in the old one, this weird jumping-into-the-picture-from-the-side is just awkward as fuck and makes her face look distorted.

Meh. I like both, but Imo I think I like the new one better. Maybe the old one could have gotten touched up or something.

I personally don't think Ahri needed a splash update at all! Not to be rude to the artist but her new one is just horrible. I find it hard to even look at to be honest. It's just really ugly. Sure it represents her dark side a bit better but who cares? Swain's splash art doesn't focus on the fact that he's a leader of Noxus and people don't seem to care about that. Also i think that there are PLENTY of champions who needed a splash update before she got one: Brand, Corki, Evelynn, Galio, Jayce, Irelia, Varus, Yorick, Xin Zhao and Poppy just to name a few. I don't think anyone complained about Ahri's splash art before, so i don't understand why Riot felt the need to change it to something that looks so awful.
