Zzz... Zzz... Huh? Wha!? Oh, sorry everybody. Simply dead tired from moving! So if this CCOS has been a bit scattered, you all know why! Anyways...

The July results are out for the CCOS!

First though, let's say thank you to the only judge of this month!

Raxistaicho, come say hi! Or, do whatever else you like. We aren't picky. :P

Raxi took the time judge each concept this month, as well as deliver awesome feedback. Give this guy applause, since this month would not have have happened without 'im!

So with that finished, the winner of the July CCOS is....

#Valerius, the Commander of Targon by Warlord Dienekes with a score of 112/100!

Congratulations! You'll be getting your prize medal gif (if I can find the one the good Sir used) later this week!

|Place|-----------------------------Concept----------------------------------|------------Author-------------|---------Score-------- |- |2 | Koridan, the Lost Protector | Echoing | 111/100 | |3 | Scolac, the Thief's Guardian | Doctor Fail | 108/100 | |3 | Reina, the Wisp Watcher | Vorazun | 108/100 | |4 | Luke, the Child of Kaladoun | Universal Scarf | 106/100 |

Don't fret if you didn't make the leaderboards, you'll still be entered into the CCOS Official Archive as well as get some nice feedback to your concept from this month's judge. While I wasn't able to participate in judging this time around as life obligations took priority, I will still share my feedback if I am asked. I did take some notes amid all the moving houses.

There were some unfinished concepts that did not qualify this month! Remember that a WIP Concept will not qualify for any points! As you prepare your entries for next month (more on this in a moment), please remember to finish your entry as best as you can!

Bonus points abounded, since our top five are all 100+ scores! That's super encouraging! Feedback from each other is the way we'll strengthen our concepts together!

Find your concept's feedback here! How to navigate it:

  1. Click the link (duh).
  2. Page 1 (Judging) is where the specific feedback is for each entrant.
  3. Page 2 (Quick Look) is a quick way to see all the scores side-by-side.

Be sure to tell me of you have any trouble accessing the document, I'll be sure to help out as much as I can and can give you your score directly if needed. Raxistaicho should also be hovering around here for most of the week to answer any questions you may have for him.

I'm already getting the August CCOS ready to go! I need both judges and concepts, so get your stuff ready! If you're interested in judging for August, please E-Mail me at "[email protected]" with your in game name. Otherwise if you're interested in entering, be sure your concept is posted in July or August, and has not been entered into a CCOS prior!

The August CCOS will be opening up for entries next Monday, the 1st of August, so keep an eye out for the entry post then! NOTE: There will be no bonus categories or anything next month, just raw talent and skills on display! That doesn't mean we don't critique each other though!

Keep it real everybody!

Well this was a good CCOS. Though here is something I do want to bring note of. Mainly it is the bonus section. Honestly while it is good to include the bonus section and it is nice to provide points to those who review other entries. Now this just might be me but I feel like the amount of bonus points possible is a bit too high. When each normal category provides 25 points that is fine, but when the bonus provides 25 points as well, it becomes more of who has the time to write out reviews. Perhaps for next month it might be good to lower the bonus to perhaps 10 points. That way it still encourages helping others designs while still getting others to work on improving their own. Once again this maybe just me talking.

Huh, well that's surprising. Though really, Scolac and Reina would have beaten me by 1 point if they had 5 reviews.

Though, on the other hand the judge kind of missed that Valerius's purpose was to see if we can get a melee champ along with him in botlane not a normal ranged adc, to mix up the lanes a bit. Which is why a few of his abilities are focused on aiding a melee ally. Maybe I was docked some points because his kit wasn't designed around what the reviewer thought he was designed around.

But, honestly, I'm just surprised I did that well, I expected to be somewhere in the middle. Thanks guys.

So, I quickly checked to see who would have won not counting the bonus points:

Oasihl, the Ancient Famine 91 Kohral, Wujite Dancer 89 Felix, the Anthropage 88 Reina, the Whisp Watcher 88 Scolac, the Thief's Guardian 88

So congrats to the guys with great concepts all around.

Besides echoing (heh) the concerns that the Good Neighbor Bonus should be reduced to 10 points, I'd like to say I'm pretty happy and relieved that everyone thus far is taking this nicely. No one's throwing an outraged fit over Raxi's judging, swearing off the contest, or whatnot. It's promising. I hope we can all stay this nice going forward.

Second place. I can live with this.

Grats to Warlord Dienekes for hitting first place. Valerius was definitely a cool concept.

I also want to take a moment to thank Warlord Dienekes and Universal Scarf for their helpful critiques on my champion. Time has been pressed down here so I didn't get to really respond or discuss as much as I would have liked, but know that I definitely appreciate your time and effort and tried to keep your views in mind as I tweaked the kit, though I didn't get the chance to do anything massive like rework the ult.
