Gun Champion Ideas for Riot

Don't get me wrong, I know high attack speed champs do exist in the game, but there's just something satisfying about playing a shooter, spraying out bullets, and NOT walking down lane, stopping, firing one round out of your "automatic" weapon, walking again because now the target has moved, rinse, repeat. I would absolutely love to see a champion (regardless of it being a tank, ADC, assassin, or even a mage/support) that is an actual BULLET HOSE. Granted there would have to be some kind of trade-off, (like locked in attack speed and reduced damage scaling) to keep it from becoming OP AF, but the closest I've ever seen to a legitimately full-auto barrage is all stuff requiring optimized builds to make your ADC fire as fast as possible, or locked to one of your ability keys (looking at you, Urgot, Corki, Lucian, and occasionally Kai'sa when she catches a target alone in her q range, but that's more of a missile barrage than a hail of bullets). I think it'd be really satisfying to have your gun fire faster than the current attack speed cap, even if it only does like a third as much damage per hit like Urgot's W, and walk down lane continuing to fire regardless of whether or not the bullet lands in your target similar to Lucian's R, but without being locked into one direction. Perhaps a champion with a real minigun (sorry Jinx + Pow Pow, we still love you but it's just not the same), who can toggle an ability on/off to switch from auto attacking as per the usual formula, to just laying on the trigger while they walk down a lane?

I suppose in a way you could say I'm asking for something like an aim-able Urgot W, with so many bullets it's like a damage line/cone. Personally I think it would be pretty awesome to see/execute. While we're on the topic of gun champion ideas, we've seen Riot make a lot of good ones come to life over the years, but there's one thing I always noticed, especially after Jinx was released. Most of them only carry one gun. Sometimes they have extra supporting tools/firearms for specific abilities, but what about a champion who used a number of them like Jinx? We already have Udyr, the all-basics, stance switching beast-man that can absolutely decimate foes when he gets in range, but what about trying something similar with a champion who switches firearms instead of stances? There's a lot of different guns out there, all with different advantages/disadvantages; Snipers are long range, but usually have either a small mag (lots are per-shot reloads), or a lower firing rate, while machine guns can lay down a barrage, but often weigh considerably more and have issues revolving around the recoil from firing so much. There's also more notorious stuff like shotguns and RPGs that perform exceptionally well for their task, but kinda suffer everywhere else. There are a lot of possibilities to mess around with here, and to be honest the "Udyr system", as I like to call it, always sounded to me like it would make more sense on a ranged champion than a melee one because it kinda limits you entirely to your basic attack.

So those are a couple of my ideas for new gun-based champions/reworks that I hope to one day see in the game. Anyone else got anything they think would be awesome? Also let me (and more importantly, Riot) know if you agree these ideas sound fun via this handy little poll at the bottom!

The first concepts for Jinx was probably something like you imagined.

Originally, her minigun shot like one, having a constant stream of damage instead of seperated instances of auto attacks. But they scratched that concept, because it was really awkward to cs with that auto attack pattern as well as kiting.

And since you mentioned it: according to Riot, Jinx already is the ranged version of Udyr they came up with.

I forgot about that lol, but to be honest that "Pow-pow's actually a minigun" version of jinx sounds like it'd be pretty fun =3
