What's the real reason why skins need to be "activated" after they go Live?
I have been pondering this for a LONG time now.
If there actually is anything wrong with a skin after it goes Live, you'll have to hotfix it, and that's not fun for anyone.
And there would be no reason to allow a skin to leave PBE if it's breaking the game or store or something.
So, what work are you able to do on a skin when it's Live and disabled? And why does it sometimes take weeks?
I feel like now is a good time to make this thread because the Project skins are the most hyped skins in a long time, and every single one of the skins are going to under-skinned champions (Fiora may or may not count since she was reworked.) But as excited as I am...it's just impossible to not be upset about the wait.
Just think about it. You see a new skin being teased, you go "YAY!" Then you wait for it to go on PBE. Then you wait for it to get to Live. Then you have to wait for the skin to be "activated" after it was already made sure to be bugless because it was pushed Live from PBE.
So, why?
