[Champion/Rework Concept?] Penni Del Doran, Harbinger of Nocturne

Daughter of the greatest craftsmen of Ionia, Penni was kidnapped by a young and arrogant Zed. Zed forced her father, Master Doran, to forge a key for a mysterious puzzle box hidden deep in an Ionian temple that Zed believed would grant him untold power.

When the key was finally forged from the star metal of the gods, Zed handed the key to Penni, held his blade to the throat of Master Doran and gave Penni a choice, open the box or walk free and watch her father die.

Despite her father's pleas for her to run, Penni opened the box. Just then Penni's mind, body, and soul were utterly engulfed in darkness, and an ancient imprisoned shadow warlock oozed from Penni's now shadowy figure. Zed made an agreement with the demon, and it vanished, along with Penni.

Decades later the demon known as Nocturne has been consuming the minds of villagers from the outskirts of Demacia, and rumors persist that a beautiful mysterious woman appears in the villages proceeding these attacks.

Penni No Attack

Passive - Nocturne, the Eternal Nightmare: Penni summons a spectral(ghosted), invincible, and untargetable monster known as Nocturne, who is tethered to Penni, and who can't move outside of a short distance from Penni, which is increased by their level.

When their health drops below half, Penni dies, and Nocturne becomes targetable, after a brief delay. While Penni is under the effect of a hard crowed control effects, or is silenced, Nocturne disappears, and can't attack or activate abilities. Nocturne's health can't be restored above 50% until Penni is revived, by returning to the fountain.

E - What's in the Box?: Penni opens the box in a target direction, causing shadowy tendrals to lash out and tether to the closest enemy, prioritizing champions, to Penni for 3 seconds, filling their minds with nightmares. While tethered the enemy champions are dealt magic damage over time. After the 3 seconds, they becomes slowed and flee from Penni and Nocturne.

  • Nightmares: While tethered to Penni or Nocturne, enemy champions see fast moving shadows moving towards them, that can be attacked and destroyed in a single attack, the numbered of which is increased by the level of this ability. If they are all destroyed before touching the champion, or if they break the tether within 3 seconds, they will not be slowed or flee from Nocturne or Penni.

R - Agent of Paranoia - At level 1: This ability controls Nocturne's movement.


Nocturne

Passive - Umbra Blades: Nocturne's basic attack is periodically enhanced, dealing bonus physical damage to his target and physical damage to surrounding enemies, while also healing Penni and Nocturne for every enemy hit.

Penni will briefly flee from Nocturne if she is in range of his Umbra Blades. Nocturne's basic attacks reduce Umbra Blades's cooldown by 1 second.

Q - Duskbringer: Penni and Nocturne launch a claw of shadow from each of their locations in a target direction that leaves a Dusk Trail in their wake, dealing physical damage to enemies it passes through, reduced to 50% if struck by the second blade, and causing enemy champions hit to also leave a Dusk Trail behind them for 5 seconds.

While on the Dusk Trail, Penni become ghosted and both Penni and Nocturne gain bonus movement speed.

W - Shroud of Darkness - First Cast: Penni and Nocturne become engulfed in darkness, becoming untargetable, but still vulnerable to damage and crowed control effects.

  • Second Cast: Penni and Nocturne switch places and consume the shadow engulfing them. Can't be recast if Penni is dead.

E - Unspeakable Horror - While Penni is dead: Nocturne plants nightmares into his target's mind, dealing magic damage over 3 seconds and forming a tether between him and his target. After 3 seocnds they are slowed and flee from Nocturne.

**R - Paranoia Manifest **- When Penni is dead, while there is a second level in this ability - First Cast: After a brief delay, Nocturne nearsights all enemy champions for 6 seconds.

  • Second Cast: While Paranoia Manifest is active, Nocturne can reactivate it to dash, unstoppably, to a target enemy champion anywhere on the map.
