Instead of removing posts, can the post just be moved to the correct board?

Stacona,

It does seem like an "easy" solution to just have mods or Rioters move threads, but that would present two issues:

People taking it for granted and posting stuff ALL over the place, making the Boards a mess.
Taking up the mods and Rioters time to move threads instead of improving the Boards or ensuring content is clean and appropriate for the community.

Now, I can definitely see there being those RARE circumstances where something could be moved, but not likely to happen often.

This is attributed to three primary things: lack of awareness, lack of appropriate tools, and trolling. Lack of awareness will happen regardless of whether threads are deleted or moved, appropriate tools are...tools, and trolls will just be trolls. There is potential for lazy people to post all over the place, but why bother if the easiest route is to post in the correct location?

In a properly implemented system, moving a thread takes a single click more than deletion.

Deletion = Click Delete, confirm.
Move = Click Move, pick new location, confirm.

This being said, I do kind of see why Riot has decided not to move threads. The goals for the future of the Boards don't exactly lend themselves to cross-pollination, particularly with the potential for players to create their own boards.
