[Feedback] We need more subcomunities.

So, I feel that we need more subcommunities. I get that this might come later, but I have a few Ideas I'm going to jot down here. I will periodically update the list when I have more ideas/hear a good suggestion.

Off Topic - lets face it, while General discussion may not need to exist, Off Topic certainly does. Not as a trash can/ FEK subcommunity, like it is currently over on the regular forums, but an actual OFF Topic forums, for things not league or riot related in the slightest.
Example thread: "Why is the Sky blue?"
Trash Can - this is to move deleted topics to. Only needed if it will be used, and it's sole purpose is to hide deleted topics in a place only reds and moderators will be able to access.
Example thread: "Mods are worthless"
Community Modifications - I feel like a disclaimer stickied on that subcommunity stating riot does not officially support them will suffice. This will be a place to link community mods like custom skins, custom launcher visuals (think the phreak dance), and Forum mods. This way Fan Creations are more for things like champion and skin suggestions.
Example thread: "CommunityNight Forum Skin"
PBE Discussion - So with Jinx and all the discussion surrounding her, alongside the constant question of "How do I join PBE?" (Protip: You can't right now, registration is closed.), I feel they need to have their own section.
Example thread: "X new champ has a gamebreaking bug on their W"

That is all I got atm, if you have an Idea in the list, post it below with an explanation of its purpose and an example of a thread that should belong in there. If you need examples, just look at my list for a general form.

Also, apparently I can't spell. If someone can correct the title for me, it should read "[Feedback] We need more Sub-Communities"

The way this system works, why would this even be necessary when the off-topic stuff will just end up filtered down towards the bottom anyway?

I don't see the point of this, especially since in the reddit-style system, a deleted topic will show that it's been removed. Seems like a waste of space.

I always thought that it was pretty standard that Riot doesn't officially support community mods, if for no other reason than it might break the client. Fan Creations is a fine catch-all for this, really; nobody wants a billion subcommunities that will end up unused like the current iteration of the forums.

PBE discussion already actually has its own section. Hell, they were using the reddit style LONG before the community beta: http://community.pbe.leagueoflegends.com/

On #2, that is assuming that Riot handles deleted threads in the same manner that Reddit does. Since Riot is developing this community software themselves, I bet they make deleted threads not show up anymore, just to clean up that clutter. I also wouldn't be surprised at all if there already is a section of the main forums that only mods see where they send deleted threads. And once moderation is active in here, I wouldn't be surprised if they do the same. Obviously, it's not like we care at all, because it's nothing we'll ever see as the general public.

On #4, the PBE did test out a reddit-style community before, but it was just a shadow of what this place is even now. There were far fewer features back then. I think it was more intended as a test to see if the threaded conversation style fit well for League discussions (as opposed to strictly chronological posts in forum threads).

To respond to some of this:

Off Topic discussion is necessary so as not to pollute other Subcommunities. This is neccessary for when you can customize which subcommunities you want to see under "your" front page with subscriptions. Let say Korea lashes out and bombs, lets pretend, Japan. In this scenario, What subcommunity would that go under? Big world events may not be relevent to league, but they need a place to be discussed. Otherwise the whole forum returns to being GD.
This one, as I said, is only neccessary if they don't have another way of hiding locked threads. This will depend on how they handle it, and if it auto hides the thread then there will be no need for it.
This is one I'm on the fence about. Take a look at the current Off Topic. The FEK thread is almost always on page 1, due to sheer activity in the thread. Not just meaningless bumps either, actual discussion and trouble shooting. I feel that where ever that thread belongs, it shouldn't be OT, because a) it is actually league related, and b) it just takes over OT when it is put there. The reason I felt Fan creations wasn't really sufficient is a) Riot doesn't want to support mods officially, and b) I've personally always interpretted fan creations as more of a arts and crafts area, with suggestions like pool party ziggs or champions suggestions. While my interpretation may be up for debate, without a disclaimer saying they don't officially support mods the sub-community will not work, and with a disclaimer they discourage ideas like pool party ziggs.
I am aware of this, but look at the current Beta Feedback sub-community. It is supposed to be for feedback regarding the community beta. Also, help and support is currently flooded with questions on how to join the PBE. So due to the amount of traffic, I feel they need their section here.
