[BUG] Deleted post issues

I have found two minor issues concerning the deleted comments.

Deleted posts appear in updates like empty posts. I would instead suggest marking them as deleted and giving them different background color.
Deleted posts may be left hanging in discussion. This is a bug, definitelly. How to reproduce:
1. Create a comment.
2. Reply to your comment.
3. Delete the first comment.
4. Delete the reply.

Theoretically, long chains of deleted posts could be left hanging after drastic deleting (eg. moderator cleaning up a flame, or user deleting reponses posted on different post than they wanted).

Thanks for taking the time to make this report!

Not removing undeleted children from a deleted parent was an intentional design decision.

There's some room for improvement on introspecting the tree to determine if all comments have been deleted beneath a certain point. There's also room for improvement on other parts of the experience at large that the team feels takes a higher priority, such as some of the items you mentioned in your other posts regarding page load and new features that improve the overall quality of life.

In regards to "my updates", we're actively working on a subscription system which will ultimately help revisit how "my updates" are handled. It's a fairly useful feature as it stands, but it will be much more useful when we're finished with it.
