Wards should show vision range when being placed
Many spells and items display the range they will affect - why not wards? I would find it handy when placing them strategically.

People who claim this is just an issue for lower elo players are just being ridiculous. Riot has already made plenty of clarity changes similar to this one and I personally think this is a fantastic idea. Good one, OP!
Hm. I don't see a problem with making the game more clear wherever possible. +1
A technical problem I could see is that it would be somewhat difficult to account for areas out of coverage due to terrain. A generic circle of effect might not read intuitively when overlaying blocked areas that won't actually get coverage.
However, doesn't wards cover more vision in specific areas of the map tho? That might make it difficult to make ward range indicators.

well... no. you should know what wards will show where you place them... and the range is where there isn't fog of war so I dunno what you're going on about..

Might be hard to code where the vision would be as dynamically as that. The mouse cursor moving around, updating to show where the ward will show. A ring indicator sure, but otherwise it's be too much noise.
Probably not because the vision in bushes is still fucked up (placing a ward in a bush may or may not reveal the area right next to it, depending on if the game flipped coin Head or Tails)
