Tamar do you think boards is a success

I doubt Tamar will respond, so I might as well take a stab at it.

Is The Boards a success? Currently? Yes, but also no. With the rushed transition and the fact the platform is still not polished to the level one might expect of a finished product, it's definitely not ideal. The transition turned a lot of players away, and when others noticed the lack of certain core features such as acceptable quoting/search and mobile support it became somewhat of an issue.

That being said, the platform does some things very well. It's generally very easy to find and consume interesting content; the topics are diverse enough to allow for discussion without segmenting the community past the point of usefulness. The clean, minimalist look helps to focus the experience on the content rather than flashy buttons, which is nice for when it's desired to dive deep into a topic.

As far as the Boards being a success in the future, It really depends on how it's handled going forward. I think the platform has a lot of potential to be incredible, but it's a question of whether it will reach that potential or not.
