Riot, your markdown language needs an update

Getting really sick of not being able to post, or having my posts come out looking wrong simply due to your markdown language going derp mode on me and screwing things up.

I don't NEED to use all these fancy features, nor do I always WANT to use said features.

My most recent encounter with the derpy markdown is the use of greater than and less than symbols. I have a tendency to use a certain emoticon when I get annoyed with ppl (like right now) so I'll do (less than)(underscore)(less than) but due to your markdown/html tag removal, I can't post posts if I have that emoticon in my post.

I also find it really annoying to always have to escape my asterisks if I want to use them to illustrate that I'm performing an action rather than actually saying something. *throws keyboard against the wall*

I hear you on the escape thing, but at the same time, I really like being able to use asterisks for bold and italics instead of having to type out [b][/b] and [i][/i].

You can probably also use \ to make your emoticons come out the way you want them.

No, you can't do "< ".

A < with no space after it eats the rest of the post.
