Threads with useful info when they age - Doomed to be at the bottom?

I must regard this issue of a new boards, while in GD thread starters could bump their threads to deliver important info, here that's actually impossible. When someone checks the boards, they rarely go all the way down. Few threads could get a top place in "HOT", but there are countless more that might be more helpful. Maybe categorizing threads by content could solve the issue of important threads going down, while threads about kitties cute stuff prosper?

Threads are already categorized by content by being posted on separate boards. If you look on the left-hand side of this window where it says Boards, there are currently 11 different Boards on which users can post. Clicking those links brings you to that specific category, and clicking the Boards heading brings you to a window that amalgamates them all.

That's been talked about before. It'd be nice if we could bump our posts once a day, but I don't think they'll add that feature soon.

If a thread is really good you can sort buy Best.

And nothing on GD has ever been important. egotistical, selfish, polarizing, idiotic, and a few other words can describes GD. Thank god i whinny GDers can not bump their threads. And if we get see 2 of the same threads we can report for spam.

I've actually kept a Galio change thread as the top post in 'Hot' for two days, and it is just now starting to sink down.

Yes, a Galiio thread

I've gotten at least 10% of the people on the beta to look at it and vote; an incredible feat since not many care about our gargoyle friend.

Generally, what I've seen is that as long as people look into the thread, it stays near the top, even if they don't comment or vote.
