It's a nice new bar and all, but it really needs a dropdown menu; it's really inconvenient having to click twice just to get to the red tracker, unlike the old one.

I personally already miss the old one, this new one feels a little over-simplified.

I completely agree, it feels like it's missing a lot of basic convenience. Plus, the bar is different on the Boards than the rest of the site, which removes continuity.

I really hope they use the new bar on Boards. If only because it'll be painfully obvious how nice a little depth would look ;)

I very much don't, because if they do so it will become impossible to view the forum archives without having a direct URL. I also find the new bar to be significantly less intuitive to use than the current Boards version, and I think a lot of that can be attributed to the dropdowns. They show exactly what content is under each heading, and allow for much faster navigation if you know what you want to move to.

The aesthetic of the new bar also doesn't really match the Boards in my opinion, and it's much smaller vertically than I would generally expect of a site-wide navigation method.

Agreed on all points. I wasn't saying they shouldn't also make improvements.

That was rather the point. It doesn't match Boards, but it does match the client and other promo pages they've made. Adding it to Boards would emphasize how out-of-place Boards looks compared to the rest of the League experience, and perhaps prompt a change.

I agree. I do like the style of the new bar a lot. It just seems as though its an unfinished product, and needs to be given drop down menus and used across the entire site instead of changing between the old and new.

Oh lord there's a new header-riotbar on the boards with dropdown menus, I hope it'll make its way to the site! I talked about this in my post and there's other posts that mention this.
